Good morning crew mates, how are your boats sailing? 

Okay, here we go. I have a confession to make:  I went to a hypnotherapist on Thursday to have her help me with the avoiding the temptations of all the holiday goodies and snacks. I found myself grabbing a cookie here, a hand of almonds there, "just a bite" of cake/pie almost every day. It wasn't going to get any easier the closer we get to the Holidays. Seven stylists in the salon, and each one of us have 7-8 client's a day that will most likely be bringing some sort of Holiday cheer. Well, I'm damn well cheery enough, but wasn't going to be if I couldn't stay away from all those wonderful treats.
So, off I went and I can say that when I walk into the breakroom I don't even see the stuff on the table and counters. It's like they're invisible!  Didn't even eat my fortune cookie last night after dinner at the Chinese restaurant!  Gosh, I love control, no matter how it is I get it....lol


So, here's yesterday:

latte

2 slices thin bacon, 1/2 pc toated rye, 1 egg

latte

leftover mahi mahi, corn, whole grain rice mix

greek yogurt w/ LF granola

Vietnamese Chicken Noodle soup---lots of veggies and chicken, very, very yummy!

applesauce w/ LF granola

Susan,
   I commend you on reaching out to "alternative" medicine or ways to handle things.  my digestion has gotten so weird and the abdominal pain will not go away.  My drs. have tried everything..labs , tests, all are normal. MY PCP finally told me she thinks my nervous system is out of whack..due to all of the surgeries in the last 2 1/2 years.  She suggested I see a chiropractor !!!!  I was stunned..but my doc is one smart cookies.  So I am seeing a chiropractor this week.  He specializes in nutrition, and homeostasis of the body...SOUNDS like just what the dr. has ordered.

  eats...oatmeal with pumpkin and protein powder
          peanut butter crackers with a cheese stick
          yogurt with fresh pineapple
          ham and cheese roll up/ edemame salad/
            few gluten free crackers
          ham and cheese roll up

Hey Marcy,

It's great that your PCP is open minded enough to realize that there might be alternatives to mainstream medicine. I don't tell many people about the hypnosis, most think of lounge acts where people are made to cluck like chickens, but it's worked in the past for me, and that's all that counts! Whatever we need to do to keep ourselves healthy, I say!!!

I was just going to ***** and moan about my overwhelming carb cravings  and almost total avoidance of animal proteins (except milk and cheese).   And what do I read?  Your BRILLIANT    idea about going to a hypnotherapist!   Tha is exactly what I'm going to do. 

Yesterday I had:

B- protein shake
L -diet coke
S - diet coke
S - small bag of Cheez its 
S- 3 oreo cookies 
D - Babybel cheese and 1 cup parmesan angel hair pasta
S - Pumpking Ice cream and 4 tea biscuits

Total disaster! 

Here is today's plan:

B - Protein shake
S - SF hot chocolate
L- Chicken leg and mixed veggies
S - babybell cheese
D - Wendy's chile
S - 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 peach

Checking out hypnotherapists when I log out.  Will keep you posted.

Seriously, look into it. There are all sorts of "goodies" around the salon right now and I literally don't even SEE them. Well, I do see them, but it just doesn't register!  Yipee!!!! She gave me a CD to listen to every night at bedtime to reinforce the suggestions and it makes me sleep really well. Another great benefit.

Hi Susan....congrats....if I could afford a hypnotherapist I would go too.....that sounds like a great idea!!

B-High Protein Drink
S- string cheese
L-Calico beans
D-turkey breast, cottage cheese and peas
S-popcorn (1 cup)
