Whew! It's almost Friday and I love Fridays! The roads were much better for driving this morning and the older I get the more I don't enjoy winter! LOL But that is what I'm stuck with here in Michigan and I'll focus on the pretty snow and less on the cold. I can't really complain about our winters...they have been pretty mild. I remember the huge snowstorms as a kid with snow piled up past our house windows and not being able to open the door to go outside. The fun snow mounds we would build, the forts and snow ball fights, staying outside for hours playing in the cold and snow. Ahhhhh....YOUTH! So today I'll dream about retiring! LOL Hugs Debbie

Debbie, I still love to go for a night time walk in the fresh fallen snow. After it has stopped, when all is still, quiet and so white. But. . . after that first one of the season I'm more likely to be in by the fire, with a hot cup of something, a book, and a frequent gaze out the window!

I like walking on my property with my doggies and kitties and cats that follow me around. I love the fresh clean smells and crunching of snow too.

...Now sitting in my hottub and looking up at the stars in the evening is cool too...along with a hot cut of something too! LOL We just gotta embrace the winter!

The hot tub serves a much needed reprieve for my restless legs. The past few days the steps from the back door to it have been a sheet of compact snow and then freezing rain on top of it. Today it looks like we will finally be able to get them cleared off. . .and I am heading out of town for 4 days.  You locations sounds lovely any time of year!!

Morning all. Cooler here in the 40's. Ran errands yesterday and more today. Going to local VA to set up appointments for my hubby. Sober now 29 days, feel good about that. But I am OCDing like crazy. Karen sent me a PM and mentioned to me about Social Anxiety and that fits. I find I worry about everything and going shopping is so hard for me. Wish me luck today.

Monica, Just standing in line at the store would cause me to break out in a sweat. Going when the stores are less crowded helped. I haven't had a problem with that in a long time.

It became so bad in 2003 that I ended up quiting my teaching job. I am sure that having to be in front of a group of 29 middle school students had a lot to do with it. I could hear their comments about my size and imagine their thoughts. The same would happen anytime I was out in public. I know you all understand.

 My anxiety disorder gets worse when there are multiple things going on in my life that are stressful. At the time of my last major flareup I was unhappy teaching, my weight had ballooned to 370 lbs and my father in law who was terminally ill was living in our family room. Seems like I handle stress fairly well (not good) if there is just one stress, add several more and I kind of blow up. It took quite a while to get me off of the ceiling that time.

I vowed to never let it get that bad again before seeking medical help. Even if I don't think I need it I go in about once a year to the therapist who helps me to "see" what is going on.

GOOD MORNING OFF FAMILY!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!! I AM SHOUTING THIS MORNING FOR SURE!!! WHY???? BECAUSE AFTER 14 YEARS MY OLDEST SON ACCEPTED ME AS A FRIEND ON FACEBOOK!!!!!!! ITS A START OF US TALKING AGAIN!!!! I FOUND HIM ON FACEBOOK OVER A MONTH AGO AND HAVE WAITED FOR HIM TO RESPOND AND THIS MORNING I GOT HIS ACCEPTANCE TO BE MY FRIEND!!!! :-) NOW TO HEAR FROM MY OTHER SON THAT I SENT A MESSAGE TO THIS MORNING ON FACEBOOK. THIS WILL BE A GREAT CHRISTMAS!!! MY SON HASN'T SAID ANYTHING TO ME YET BUT ITS A START THAT HE AGREED TO BEING FRIENDS ATLEAST...MAKES ME HAPPY!!!! :-) JUST WANTED TO SHARE MY EXCITING NEWS WITH YOU ALL!!!!

Other than that news, did the shopping all day yesterday and didn't buy much. News has it that unemployment wasn't extended so money is going to be tight once more. Only a couple more (if that) checks and he is done getting checks. Now if his boss has work ALL the time it would be nice. But he doesn't. We will not be able to make ends meet with what little work he does have right now. So we will not be sending out Christmas cards this year. Makes me sad. I had already bought them and now we can't afford to mail them out. I have to save money to travel to michigan for Christmas for my family. Even that is going to be hard. I hope the ones that didn't approve the extension have a very merry Christmas!!!

Working today and this week I have 28 hours. Yippee. I am full time and supposed to have no less than 30 hours. WTF happened? New people came in for the holiday and got the hours is what happened!!! ****** alot of us off!!! Cheaper wages so they get the hours!!! Kind of hard to make ends meet and do anything with huh?

Weather here is cold and snow flurries. 27* wind chill is even colder. Not sure what it is all I know is it is COLD. BRRRRR

OK need to get going and do things around here....have a great day and know I am thinking of you all!!!
