Good mornin' ya'll.
Spent our first night in our new Sleep Number bed. We both slept fine. Not sure we could tell any difference.
I will continue my baking for my DIL to take in to her work next Monday. We were discussing how many of each bar, or cookie we would need so everyone gets at least one. We will need 80 of each. She will take a platter to each of 6 buildings, but 2 buildings need 2 platters. Any left overs after we fill the trays will go to work with our son. We chose 20 different recipes. I'll be doing 4 a day all week. Baking and listening to Christmas music. Doesn't get any better than that!
Everyone have a fantabuloue day!

Eight platters of cookies?  Is anyone else bringing goodies?

Good morning, everyone!  Actually ... good afternoon.

Grammylew, we were thinking about a sleep number bed.  So you couldn't tell any difference?  That's kind of disappointing ...

So I am here for the first time in several weeks and was so confused about which thread to post on.  I decided to go for the one in the middle, lol.

I haven't had much time for posting because I'm busy with school work and studying.  Things are beginning to wind down now and classes are over in a couple of weeks (thank goodness!  I'm enjoying them but they are pretty tiring!).

We had a nice long Thanksgiving weekend and today I'm just kicking back and relaxing.  I enjoyed Thanksgiving Day--a delicious meal, good company and no drama!

I watched three holiday movies--"Planes, Trains & Automobiles", "Miracle on 34th Street" and the newly released Jim Carrey version of "A Christmas Carol".

Hope everyone else is enjoying a wonderful holiday weekend!

I take a sleeping pill at night so I sleep pretty good anyway. My DH is hoping it will help his back and legs. I hope it will help my hip. We shall see after we have settled on a number.

Do you have to pick the same number?  Or you can pick different numbers?

We each control our own side of the bed. He is a 75, I am a 50. We have the "split king" so we can also raise and lower our feet and head independantly. So far we are both very happy. My right hip isn't hurting in the night any more. My DH is able to stay in bed til 5 each morning. He used to have to get up at 2 or 3 because his legs and back hurt. Now he sleeps with his legs slightly raised.
Our son and DIL love theirs! So far we just like ours. We may come to love it.

Hi ... three of you posting at the same time!

Yum ...
christmas cookies and Christmas music ... love 'em both. My friend Roxane and I used to have weekend-long cookie baking fests when I lived in Illinois. We'd bake and drink wine (or beer) and eat pizza all weekend long. Then we'd split up the cookies. She'd pick all these real fancy cookies that took a  lot of work; I'd pick all the bar cookies that entailed just putting things in a pan. The last year I was in Illinois we made 12 dozen (yes, that's 12 dozen!) sugar cookies ... it was a recipe that entailed rolling the cookies in a bar, then flattening them with a fork, like peanut butter cookies, then sprinkle them with colored sugars. By the end of the night, we had red and green sugar all over us (I think we were even throwing it at each other ... and we were kinda drunk ... but we at her apartment). The following year, when I was in Montana, she sent me four sugar cookies in the mail (in an envelope) as a joke, to remind me of that weekend ... they weren't crushed, either. I still laugh about it. She now has a 9-year-old girl, Erin, my goddaughter and no, she doesn't have cookie bakes anymore.
