Am I the only one that really has an urge to "volume" eat....I have did this on puddin's and chili several times the past few days......

Of course, I can only eat a 1/2 to 1 cup at a time..but 30 min later can do it all over again....

I do not plan to continue this on reg basis my any means....

Just wondering, if any one else ever did this.

Ok, I still eat every 2 hrs. That is when I remember. I am 5 years out & rarely feel hungry. Once in a while I overdo at one sitting & pay for it. On other days it will take me 2 hrs. to finish one meal. I try very hard to get enough calories in, in a day. The days are all different, depends on how I feel. Good luck, Nan

it's very easy to "volume" eat on things like chili, cottage cheese, pudding- they are "slider" foods- unless you have major meat chunks in the chili they just "slide" thru you....

i am much more guilty than i care to admit to anyone!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

You are just using your old eating habits. It will take time to correct this habit.
I too am/was/and always will fight the large portions. Of course we can't eat like that anymore but if you eat "slider foods" you can have more volume eating.
I can eat a lot of salad and popcorn in one sitting. So with salad I try to put more meats/cheese on the salad and eat that first but popcorn, I can pack it away!

Now give me a steak and I can only eat 3oz. max! Dense food is the way to go vs slider foods.

No, you are not alone, however, to overindulge is to make myself sick and I do not like to get sick.  Margo made a good point, slider foods are those that go down rather easy and pass through our pouches quickly, thereby creating the ability for us to overindulge.

The eating 30 minutes later, is as Debbiejean pointed out old behaviors and ones we need to get a handle on, or the price we pay is going back to shopping at places like Lane Bryant, Catherine's, Avenue, Roman's, etc. . .  I, for one, do not want to go back to those places.

One of the gals on my home board used to have a byline that read, "nothing tastes as good, as thin feels"  remember that one next time you want to graze, because that is what you are doing when you do that and I am guilty of it too, so not calling the kettle black here, but stating what we all need to remember, we can regain and go back to living the way we used to.

Best wishes, Laureen
