Good Morning Margo & Everyone!
Not much going on here... I go see Mom most every day, which takes up a good bit of my time. Then, it's back to practicing my piano. I gotta start cleaning up the house and getting ready for My Son & Family who will come for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Good Morning
Yukky day here, very windy, rainy and cold. I half expected to see snow when I got up this morning, but fortunately it's not quite that cold yet. I put up my reflectors edging the driveway and the edge of the road a few days ago so will hopefully not have to shell out $500 or $600 next Spring to repair what the plows have destroyed. It's getting to be a yearly expense, and my annual phone calls to complain haven't seemed to help.
Still fighting the cold and cough. It's been 2 weeks, and I ache all over from the cough.
Foot doctor appt this morning. At some point I have to decide if and when I want to have my surgery. Every few months the foot starts killing me and I call for an appointment and by the time they can schedule my appointment (usually in a month), the foot is better and I decide to wait on the surgery. It's fine now, and since I don't want to go through it anyhow, I'll probably put it on hold again. I know I'll be laid up for up to three months and that's not something I look forward to.... But the winter is the best time for this, as I refuse to be off my feet in the Spring and Summer. I need to make a decision at some point.
Blah, blah, blah, .... blah, blah..... Not terribly interesting, but my life.
I went to Wally World and bought some yarn to make my grandson an afghan. It's going to be 1 foot squares, in different camoflage colors. Keeps my hands busy, but not busy enough to stay away from the junk food. I continue to struggle.
I hope everyone is coping. Holiday time is tough for so many to stay on track.

P.S. I just looked over this entry, and it looks like my glass is more than half empty. Gotta go find something to fill it up. I know! Got the new Stephen King book in the mail yesterday. Today after I get back from the doctor, I'm gonna settle down with a good book and read the rest of the day away. The weather is perfect to snuggle up with a blankie and a few cats and just vege out !!!

I made the decision about the surgery. They're gonna schedule me as early in January as possible. It's too cold and nasty here in Western NY in January and February to go too far from home anyhow. I thought I wouldn't be able to drive for three months, but he assured me it would be more like three weeks. I can live with that.
Not happy about the need for surgery, but I'll deal with it. It's as good an excuse as any for sitting on my butt for a month or so....

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
It's afternoon now ... I didn't sleep well at all ... got up a lot coughing. I think this cold is coming back at me. Too many people in a tight space spreading germs. Think I need to get the wellness tea back in me for awhile. We have one young woman who has been coughing for three weeks ... of course, she's a smoker and won't stop even when she has a cold (lots of people in Louisiana seem to smoke, especially the young'uns).
I had my 90-day review, kind of middlin'. My supervisor is extending for 30 days, waiting to see how I pan out on my new team. She says I'm getting better ... which I am ... but then I do something stupid (which the one incident she pointed out I don't remember ... but then it was Friday when I was in so much pain after falling but still came in). The review also said I don't cooperate ... I don't pick up stuff when I'm not doing anything (not true ... I'm always picking up proofs). But ... it's all water under the bridge. I'm just doing my job and keeping my mouth shut.
Anyway, I got into work last night and had to do Monroe sports again because our IT dept. didn't set up the new guy again ... he's been here a week and still can't work. It's ridiculous ... because of layoffs we can't get our jobs done properly. There was a big fire near the office last night, too ... we all thought our building was on fire it was so smoky. It was a dry cleaners.
Well, back to work for one more night, then off on Thursday for my pain injection. Hope it helps resolve some issues in my back and knees (these shots usually help my knees, too).

Just talked to my oldest son who lives in Indiana and confirmed plans with him for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Kept saying he was brining the family but he usually doesn't make it due to work. Not only are they coming but are staying a whole week! Awesome! I really miss the Grandkids.
My hubby works 3rd shift and is gone for the night, just me and the doggie here. It's ok though He bosses me around like he's human.
Need to drink more water haven't drank even half of what I need for the day but just can't drink today for some reason.

Hi Julia and everyone,
Julia I called you the other day and left you a message!!!!! I am winding down my time in Denver. I visited my friend who is very sick. It doesnt look very promising for her. I think she may have metastisies in the lungs now. Taking it day by day.
I am flying home tomorrow night as I have to work the weekend.
I am on new migraine mediciane and I hope it works!!!!!
Had my yearly labs done while I was here so I am good for another year.
