Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to let you know you were all so right... I jumped to fear when I read the medical reports, but my doctor went over them with me today and most of what was there was normal aging. My kidneys are scarred from my childhood infection but as long as my blood pressure stays good and I don't feel pain the doctor isn't worried. And the dessication in my discs are not caused by not drinking enough water. He also said that as long as my back is healing, just let it heal... no cortisone or surgery at this point. He does want to get another bone density test but not for 6 months. He says I've been through enough right now. They are all so good to me- they will be getting a nice gift for Christmas this year!
I have three ornaments on the Christmas tree so far- one way up high that I placed all by myself! I have a Philadelphia ornament, a Liberty Bell ornament, and a "Sookie" ornament!  I go back to work next Tuesday! I hope I can hold up for the 5 hours... I'm pretty sure I can.
Sound off now- what's going on with you?

Ah Julia,

Highs can be wonderful: seeing new places, greeting new people, meeting a new to this world family member. Lows help us to appreciate those highs. And normal? Normal, every day life, going to work, coming home, greeting students and co workers, feeling the sun on your face, soaking in a nice hot bath, sitting down to eat with family or friends, reading a good book, working on a craft project, getting ready for the upcoming holidays. . . Normal every day life. Doesn't that feel good too? Enjoy, my friend, enjoy!

Karen,

Your response to Julia is exactly why you are so much a part of my life.  As Margo says... Attitude is Gratitude.

Good Morning!

Hope everyone that is struggling with health and cold issues starts to feel better soon.

Nothing much today.  I have to get to work (I'm late).  Work till 4, pick up dry cleaning.  Sometime this weekend I have to go out and find hooks and eyes to fix a skirt.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined finding something as simple as a package of hooks and eyes would be so difficult in the city of Philadelphia.  When I was a kid I can remember fabric stores on all the Avenues in the neighborhoods.  Now I have to go to Fabric Row if I want sewing notions - it's crazy.  I have to find something closer to northeast Philly than Fabric Row which I believe is in South Philly but not sure.

I also need to get a black and brown skirt this weekend.  My black & brown skirts will no longer stay up so a trip to some thrift shops is in order for the weekend.

Hopefully I will not be so tired tonight that I fall asleep when I get home and I get myself onto the treadmill.

Have a great day.....

Isn't it a great feeling to have your skirts falling off?

yes it is!!!!!  on the other hand it is annonying as all get out in the morning when you know what you want to wear and it falls off and then have to refigure and redo all the makeup because the colors won't work with what is left in the closet

unfortunately they needed more than safety pins, way too much fabric to gather up on these two favorite skirts of mine....it is time to retire them :-(
