whooooooooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning Margo and OFF family,

Well now is the start of the new week, the funeral is over along with some family drama...ya know you always have family drama. LOL
MIL's celebration of life was good, lots of music and got to see lots of family and friends.
Tried to do Mindful Eating and I'm learning along the way with that one.

Saturday was my stepdaughter's baby shower and that was fun.

After the funeral and grave site final visit, hubby and I went to Home Depot...man shopping so to speak, picked out tile for the remodeling of our second bathroom. Man, tile is heavy!!

So today, I've got a clean slate...gonna start exercising and today it's water aerobics. My plan is to go to the gym every day after work. Well except for Wednesday, I have choir practice.
Happy to be in

Strange how 1 extra hour of sleep can make you feel so good when you wake up.  Fighting a sinus thing today.  But still feel great.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

Good mornin', ya'll.

Yep, Monday!  We had a good weekend.  Fed everyone breakfast both days. By everyone I mean or son, DIL, 2 grandsons and 1 grandson's friend. We've known him the entire almost 6 years we have been here and he calls us Grandma and Grandpa. They were all here all day yesterday, and we watched football, ate, everyone took naps (well, not me), and then had chinese for dinner.

Our daughter went to the bake sale at St. John's Academy on Oregon City, with all the goodies I baked and left in her freezer. She discovered Cake Pops. Anyone tried them? Our DIL and I looked them up online and gave them a try. It was a learning experience. She took the results to work today. We are gonna give it another try this afternoon. We're gonna try shapes (Christmas trees, Santa's hats). She is looking for new and yummy things for me to make for her to take to work at Christmas time.

It has been COLD here this weekend. I know, not as cold as you folks in NY, NE, or IN (where my Sis, BIL, and cousin live). But for us, cold. I don't mind the cold. It's the snow and ice I don't like.

It sounds like we'll be having Thanksgiving Dinner here again this year. Our son and his family go to WV hunting at this time of year. I thought this year they were gonna stay for Thanksgiving. Nope, they'll be home on Thanksgiving day. Last year I was in the middle of chemo and radiation. But we still did T-Day here. Our son always deep fries the turkey, DIL and I do the rest.

I hope everyone has a fantabulous week!!

Love this quote Margo! I need to do more of the later and less of the former!! NO time to post. Need to get my shower and get ready as I'm sure the phone will ring soon. Have a good day.

Good Morning Margo, Ladies, Gents or anyone else in the lurk mode. . .

I had a great weekend, some social interaction, but spent most of yesterday cooking, made some pea soup, Italian Wedding soup, roasted a chicken, just one of those days. . .  watched the Jets game, boy was that a nailbiter and then because I don't live in the area of my home team, there were less than 2 minutes left when they cut to the local team, Eagles, and so my team which was losing at that point, went on to win it and I did not get to see it until I saw it on NFL Today, what a game. . .

Well here I sit at my work station and so I'd best get back to it. . .  today's reflection that I posted was really a good one, I am happy that people are receiving these well and benefitting from the wisdom in some of them, for those less inclined, I get it, just pass it by. . .

Wishing all who are going through serious life challenges (Bev comes to mind), peace and strength to hold on and get through it.

Hugs, Laureen
