Another beautiful day...

Happy weekend everyone.  Well it's Sunday morning here and we have beautiful sunshine again. I thought I would just hop on to OH while I have my protein drink then head off to the pool.

Have to make the most of weekends now as it's the only time off I will have for a couple of months. Hubby is off playing golf today so I plan on the swim, a couple of hours of ironing then cooking a roast leg of lamb and vegies for the family for dinner.

Yesterday I went hunting for some more clothes for work but couldn't find anything.  Will just have to make do for now.

I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend. Thoughts to those who need them.

Hi Jules & Off Friends,
Getting ready to turn in for the night.  Had a great day.   Started early, taking Mom for a walk in her neighborhood & putting her "pretties" out on her dresser in the bedroom.  Then, off to my Grandson's football game.    They have won their division & will go to Arizona in 2 weeks for another playoff game.    I cooked a turkey today --- I know, it's not turkey day yet, but I just couldn't wait.   It smelled sooooooo good & was so tasty.    I boiled the carcass to make broth for future soups.    After dinner, all the leftovers were put in small baggies & now in the freezer.    We'll have lots of turkey & turkey dishes for awhile.

Tomorrow, my Sister will be down to visit Mom & she has asked to take me out to lunch.  What a treat!!!!

Prayers for those in need & my best to all for a great Sunday.

For some reason I love to cook turkeys.  I am making 3 for Thanksgiving dinners so far.  11/19 for my part time job, 11/21 for the church dinner and Thanksgiving Day for my family.

Howdy all.  I have been finding other things to do, when I should be checking this board out.  Watching way too much TV at work.

I have put on a few pounds in the last couple of weeks.  Gotta work hard at making sure it goes away.

Baseball season is over.  It was a good one for me personally.

Today I watched my first football game of the year.  LSU vs Alabama.  Good game.  Way to geaux LSU!!!

I am working overtime now, getting off at 6AM.  Gonna take a 4 hour nap and then go to an auction/dinner at the church for our music ministry.  Then I will go home and nap again.  Before another long shift.

20 days 'til Vegas.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Sunday Morning all!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!  I ruthlessly purged clothes from my drawers, closet and everywhere I could find them.  I also packed up some material I have and cleaned out the linen closet.  so much more to do, I do work best under pressure however, so there is that! LOL
I texted my son and told him to stop by and decide what he wants because I am not taking everything with me.  I may have to have an auction or big sale before I move! MAKE ME AN OFFER!  LOL  It seems very real and yet it doesn't, know what I mean?
Hugs to all!

Morning Jules, The Rest of You Folks. .  .

Clothes shopping now is much different and when you finally get to where you stop losing, oh my goodness, it becomes a totally new experience. . .  First time I went clothes shopping I left the stores in tears, because I was so overwhelmed with all that I could now purchase, plus I did not know what manufacturers would look good.   Another thing that took a while to sink in was I can now shop in pretty much any store, though I do dress stylish, but age appropriately. Since then, I enjoy shopping and buying pretty and nice things to wear, that I feel good in.

We here in the States have turned our clocks back and it was nice to have an extra hour, I woke up at 5 and said, oh no, not today. . .  went back to sleep and did not get out of bed until 6:15 (new time) and I am feeling refreshed and rested. . .  Yesterday's support group meeting was a good one and it always nice to see people and meet and make new friends. . .

Well I walked the Roxie girl, played out back with her, pulled my tomato plants out of the ground and now I am off to pick up a few circular items at suprmarket, then coming home to make a pot of pea soup, Italian wedding soup and another loaf of banana nut bread, as I have overripe bananas to use up, I will freeze it. . .  Might make a roast chicken too, seeing as Oven Stuffers are on sale for .69 a pound. . .  In between I will do laundry, change the bed lines and vaccuum, wow didn't I say I was going to just rest up today?  oh and then there is the Jets game at 1. . .  lol, this is where WLS has taken me, boundless energy (lol) and the reading today said take it easy, this will be an easy, but busy day too. . .

Have a great day everyone!  Sending thoughts of peace and strength to those facing life challenges.

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning Jules and all my OFF friends,

Jules, by the time you see this you'll probably be through your first day of the new job. Hope it's a good fit for you and you  enjoy it.
George, nice to see you again!  Sorry about the Rangers, I was pulling for them because of you. At least you got to go to a couple of games and 50% of them were great!,,,LOL

Today is going to be a good one for us. The Chargers play at noon, although most of their first stringers are injured, at least we get to see them. Then, tonight, we're going to see Wicked!!!  I'm so excited! Have heard lots of great things about it from people who have already been, both to the performances here and in NY. How lucky we are to get something like this here in Bohunk AR!

Well, my troubles are nothing in comparison to what some of you are dealing with, especially Bev. I try to put my depression over my weight gain into perspective by thinking how trivial 10 lbs is in the grand scheme of things, but to no avail. It's bad enough that I've gained the weight, but apparently I don't want to do anything about it but complain!  I joined the gym 4 days ago and haven't gone yet. Yes, my ankle has been acting up, but it's only ONE LIMB for heaven's sake. Lots of other things I could be doing, but do I?  Hell no.
I looked at my fitday.com reports and over the last 2 months I've only averaged a hair under 1200 cals a day, but ( DUH moment coming here) that's what I admit to. Funny how the Halloween candy, mini donuts and chips mysteriously don't make it onto paper!   I'm dissapointed with myself and embarassed.

Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.  Hope your today is a good one!

Hugs to all!

Susan,

You are not alone. I have been to the gym a grand total of 2 times since getting home from my trip. It's either too early, too late, too dark, too SOMETHING.

There's an old Italian proverb that I have posted above my computer: "Between saying and doing many a pair of shoes is worn out!" with that SAID I am out the door. I just worked 3 hours this morning. Came home had lunch, checked OFF and put on my exercise clothes.

Now the hard part, put one foot in front of the other, get out the door of the house, into the car, and into the door of the gym. Once I get there I will do it, it's just the getting there that is tough. Not tough I'm just being lazy and my lazy arse needs to be moving.

Hope you have better luck with your key card. Also, I did OA for years. It's a good program. . . I think that we need to make use of any and all sources that we can find to help get and keep our heads on as straight as possible!

I would prefer to sit right here but I'm not going to. I'll report back in later. I know I'l lfeel better once I get that hour or so in at the gym! BYE!!
