TGIF and a Happy Friday it IS!
Shee**** is 6:45 am here on the east coast and you midwesterners and west coast gals have gotten this going? Doesn't anybody sleep? Well I have no issues with sleep most of the time, give me 6 solid hours and I am raring and ready to go. . .
Anyway, purging is good, I certainly need to do some of that myself. If only I had time. . . Margo, prayers for your Mom and your nephew, he is certainly at a tough age, that is the age my cousin's son was when he began to have similar issues, luckily they got him the help he needed and he is now doing quite well, but sometimes it is just the age, needless to say, keep an eye open to see if there are underlying things that he is trying to hide from you folks. . .
Ok, I'd better get moving, have to be at work at 8 this morning, not sure they filled the spot that is vacant yet, so until we do fill it, it's the 3 of us rotating the early shift.
I'll peek in as the day permits. Have a great day and wishing peace and strength to all in need of it.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Deb, when you're done, will you come to my house? I have so much junk that just needs to go. Hmmm, will have to think of some "incentive" to convince Gary to help me get rid of it....lol
Last night my bad ankle/foot starting bothering me, out of the blue. No clue what's going on, and these things happen now and then, but somehow this is different. I have the brace on it, and fortunately my work load is light today and tomorrow. Hopefully it will be better before I need to go see the Ortho.
It's finally feeling like Fall here, only a high of 52 today. Nice to be able to wear warmer cozy clothes again.
Okay, gotta run. Hope you all have a great day!
Susan
Last week out of the blue, my right ankle started to hurt, I cannot recall ever hurting it, though I must say, my ankles have always been weak, to the point that a small rock stepped on, even in flats, can cause me to twist my ankle and it happens often enough, that must be why it hurt from one of those old incidents. I've never been able to ice skate, because of the weakness in them and like I said it hurt something awful, can't imagine what it would have felt like 80+ lbs. ago, but within a day it stopped hurting. . . though I've also had bad cramping of toes and feet, so bloodwork is going to get done and we'll see what is going on, perhaps it is time for a bone density test for me. . .
Hope you are feeling better. . .

Good mornin', ya'll.
ALL of my grandsons had the same problems in the 6th and 7th grades. With them it was just the change in routine to the more 'grown up' schedules, etc. It smoothed out finally for most of them. Our younger grandson is still being obstinate. But his problem is math - teachers are insisting he 'show his work' and he insists if he can figure the problem in his head WHY does he need to write out all that work!
Another chilly morning here. But today we are supposed to have some sun. Hooray!! This weekend is supposed to be the coldest yet. I don't mind the cold, if it isn't dreary! Makes me think of football weather.
My DIL stopped by on her way to work and picked up the cake I baked for her. When they have a birthday at work they ask me to make a cake. They always want to pay, but jeez, it only takes a little time, and the ingredients are things I ALWAYS have on hand (no box cakes here). She also brought about 10 patterns for Halloween costumes. I will work throughout the year and make an assortment of costumes for them to wear at work. Most of them can have elastic, etc so they can be worn by different sized people. I am usually in OR for Halloween so this way I have plenty of time to get things made for everyone.
I believe my left shoulder is now well enough for me to work with the heavier fleece fabric, so the first of next week I will begin the 5 quillows I need to make for Christmas. First, I am making myself finish the trim on 2 crochet baby afghans and finish the book I started on the plane. Then I can fully devote myself to another project. I get myself going on 2 or 3 things at a time and I get 'jangly' (my Momma's favorite word).
When I have too much 'stuff' I seem to move it to the shed. When we die our kids are gonna have one he*l of a time cleaning those sheds out! If they're smart they'll just back a dump truck up.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

There is a new person in the swim class. She is 25 years old, drop dead beautiful and obese. We talked and she said her family has urged her to lose weight, which is one reason she's taking the class. She said they suggested RNY, as did the PA. Then she asked if I had ever heard about the surgery?
Long stroy short - I gave her my card and invited her to the support group. She was so happy and me too.
Kisses
Annette

It is a Black Friday in the newspaper industry ... my former employer is laying off 18 people, plus my current employer is making cuts throughout the chain ... a bunch laid off in the building, including the managing editor who was working with me doing the sports pages (not the reason he was let go ... Gannett cut all managing editors). My friend Mary Kay woke me up this morning with the news about the Grand Rapids cuts. The newspaper industry just keeps going downhill.
It cooled off considerably ... only 56 here but sunny and actually see a few leaves changing. I woke up sweating early this morning, though, so opened the window, stuck three ice packs on me and tried to read ... fell asleep that way, with the book open and my glasses on. My right knee (the replaced one) has been bothering me the past two days, too, more than usual.
Not much else. Just the usual work, but I don't think there's a massive football Friday for me (although I'm sure I'll be asked to help out). Have a good day.
