What's New- Wednesday
Hi Julia and my OFF family:
I didn't have phone or Internet service yesterday; maybe storms kicked me off, don't know. But Comcast came out this morning and fixed. The phone was working and at first I thought the Internet wasn't working, but I just had to reset my router and voila! everything works.
Julia, glad you are have a happy streak. You sure deserve it. Hope your mom is on the bus. I am happy the Giants won because there are two former White Sox on the team (Uribe and Rowand). That team did it a lot like the Sox in 2005 ... beat a Texas team with dominating pitching.
I had a rather frustrating first night on the Lafayette team at work. The person in charge forgot to schedule me to do any pages. So here I was on an election night, which is supposed to be busy, and I had nothing to do ... oh, finally they gave me one page and had me train on sports ... like I don't know how to do sports (it's a little different on that paper, but give me a break!). They might as well have given me my usual day off for all the work I did. That place is so poorly managed.
And then this morning, I don't have a paper again. The carrier was putting it in my front yard, because obviously I have a thief, but today he put it at the front door and it's not there. I called the carrier, and he apologized but said he couldn't bring me one again today. Well, I'll have to report this and get a credit because I do pay for this paper (although I get it cheaper).
Well, it's cloudy and we're supposed to get more rain here. I'm just going to do laundry today, nothing much else. Just hanging around the house, no big plans. Hope everyone has a good day.
