I'm up and ready to head out for church soon....just having my wt control Quaker oatmeal....

Today is Reformation Day for Lutherans....very special to me especially this year, since I travelled the path that Martin Luther, the reformer, travelled in Germany, on my trip in Sept. Going to sing with a large area choir at a special service this afternoon.

Almost finished with the boy baby bib, then have a kitty picture to finish for a Christmas gift.

Hands are hurting pretty bad this morning, will take some tylenol arthritis after breakfast.

Thoughts and prayers to those having issues right now...
all of you are always close to my heart.  Blessings !

happy haunting to everyone and thanks for starting the thread margo.

i did not get to post yesterday and my heart goes out to you Jan,  so sorry about all the
stuff with mom and your grandson!!

hugs to everyone else in need too, i hope everyones aches and pains feel better, and
those with ill family members, i wish them speedy healing.

i went to a halloween party dressed as a cat, but told everyone i was a Cougar, ha ha.
most of the ppl my age were not dressed up but the kids were something else, lots of
creativity in costumes.

then my son stopped by (the older one) on the way to his party, and dang, i did not even
recognize him, so i guess it was a good costume.

have a great day everyone, im off to the gym this morning and then i plan to relax

Good Morning

Breakfast out with friends this morning.  They'll be leaving for Florida for the winter soon.

Then I plan to try three new recipes this afternoon.  Two are Butternut Squash soup recipes, and one is a fresh pumpkin-cranberry coffee cake.  I'll make the cake according to the directions this time, and if it's good, will give it away and try to make it more WLS friendly next time.  If it turns out good, I'll keep that one and freeze it into portions   I still miss my desserts, but have done well trying to convert some of the favorite recipes.

This afternoon I'll go to my niece's in the village to enjoy the Trick or Treaters.  I don't get any out where I live.

Had coffee yesterday with a guy I met on Plenty of Fish.  He was very nice, but I'm still removing my profile.  I've come to the conclusion that what I'm looking for doesn't exist.  And obviously, no one's looking for who I am.  I don't know why I keep trying.  I'm not even sure I want anyone in my life.  Guess if someone perfect drops out of the sky, I'll keep him.  But I'm done searching.

I'm running out of rocks to look under.....

Everyone have a good day.

Candy, the only things I've ever found under rock were worms, so maybe looking under rocks isn't such a good idea, huh?

My favorite dessert is my home made applesauce with some Special K LF granola for crunch and some Cool Whip Free on top. I make my applesauce with splenda brown sugar blend and regular splenda, LOTS of apple pie spice and cinnamon. Yummmm

I make my own applesauce, too, with cinnamon and sf sweetner if needed, but never thought of the pumpkin pie spice.  I have apples.  I'll have to try it.

I wonder how a little fresh pumpkin would mesh with the applesauce?  Might need a little more sweetening, but I think I'll try making a little this afternoon.  I do love pumpkin.

The house will smell very good this afternoon.

I don't do pumpkin, but let me know how it works. Lots of good stuff in that pot!

If anyone likes pumpkin, I made a pumpkin protein mousse yesterday -- experimental, but oh my it's delicious.

In a blender pour 1 cup fat free milk
gradually add 1 cup low fat cottage cheese, blending until smooth.

Pour into a mixing bowl, and add
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 - 3 oz. vanilla s/f instant pudding mix (dry)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Mix together until smooth, then
fold in - 1  - 8 oz. sugar free or lite cool whip.

Allow to chill in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.

Can sprinkle some  finely chopped pecans on top when serving, if desired.

Hi Candy,
I'm looking for butternut squash recipes -- where did you find yours???  I want them to have some type of protein in them however.
