Morning Pat and OFF!!
Well I just got a call from my mom and she talked to Bill and he is sitting in a chair and said his throat is sore from the breathing tube...lol she said she just got off the phone with the nurse telling her that he is is doing Extremly well!! WoooHooo!!!
As for me...I am feeling miserable with this cold!! Last night Rick went and bought me some Vernors Ginger Ale. That took care of the sore throat. Now I need to get rid of the rest of this dam cold!! I HATE colds!!! Feel like calling off work so I can rest.
We are under a wind advisory plus a tornado watch today. Weird weather for sure!!
Well I am getting off here and going back to bed to rest. I just called in work to let them know I am not coming in today. they are not happy but oh well. I shouldn't be around food with how I am coughing and all.
Have a good day.
Morning Pat, Connie,
Everyone must be busy today.
Well last evening our dear Karen C arrived at my house, as she has been exploring her roots for the past couple of weeks in the area surrounding my current home state. I made us a nice garden omlet with egg beaters, spinach, banana peppers from my yard, garlic and onion and goat cheese, as she spoke about her some of the neat experiences she has had in the past couple of weeks and then this morning I woke up at 5:30 and got to chat with her a bit more about her experiences, then I said my goodbyes and headed here to work.
Today my day will consist largely of working, meeting a g/f after work, possibly going to an AA meeting.
Wishing you a good day, peace and strength to get through the rough spots of life.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

I actually don't have much to say today. That's new! I enjoyed being at work yesterday, got lots of hugs, and worked on organizing my office- it's a mess from the move. We made a dent in the chaos. I have a call into UCSF about whether my MRI results are in yet. I should hear something today I think. I have TOPS tonight. Welcome home Karen! I'm fascinated with your trip details! This is my shortest post on record!

Been busy here at work, we just had a tornado warning, sirens going off all over the place in Kalamazoo...now we just had the all clear. In 1980 we had a bad tornado....seems like yesterday for that one!
Life is finally on the upswing for me. Went to water aerobics and got in the pool and worked myself hard 30 minutes before class so I was pretty wiped when I got home. Thank goodness for my planned banana after my workout. LOL
I'm enjoying going to see Kristi my Eating Coach on Monday's. There are only 4 of us in the class. I like the concept Kristi puts forth and hopefully Mindful Eating will come easily to me later on. I just threw away more than half of an orange...why? Because it didn't taste that good to me. I'm learning! You can teach an old dog new tricks! LOL
I'm journaling and using the Eating Scale...I gotta get that book Woman Food and God by Geneen Roth this week.
