UPDATE ON MY BROTHER

First I want to thankyou for the thoughts and prayers for my brother and my family. THANKYOU!!!!

About 1 pm I got the call from my brother Joe to tell me Bill was doing good and they were closing him up. The valve was in really bad shape and it was good that they did it when they did! He said he would call me back after he saw him when he got to his room. So a couple hours later he did call me back and said Bill was doing great and that they took the breathing tube out and he was breathing on his own. He would be in ICU for a couple days then moved to a regular room for maybe 5-7 days. He said he would call me whan he got home but so far I haven't heard from him. I asked him to get me a number for the nurses station so I could call and check on him in the morning. Well I guess I won't be doing that unless he calls me later on tonight with the info I need. But thank the good Lord that he is doing well and hopefully he will continue to get well! Again Thankyou to all that thought of him and prayed for him!! That meant ALOT!!!! I will let him know soon as he is able to talk on the phone in a few days.

I am dealing with a nasty cold right now and feel miserable so I am going to bed soon I think. I could have worked til 9 tonight but I just didn't feel up to it. I hate colds!!!

Hi Judy,

Glad to hear Bill is doing well. As scary as heart surgeries are, they have come so far in their abilities to heal broken bodies. Now, if they could just cure your cold, everything would be dandy!

Waiting for news is hard but it sounds like all is going well.

Glad he is doing well. I know how I would feel if one of my brothers were under the knife. But the docs can do miracles nowadays with heart surgery. My former boss had a valve repair/replacement last year and is good as new. I'm sure your brother will be OK, too, but he will have to go through a lot of rehab. For now, he will have to rest and recuperate and take his pain meds.

You rest up too.

Great news, Judy....so glad everything went well and your bro is coming along nicely.

Prayers for healing will continue. Take care of yourself and get some Cold-eze lozenges -- they really work.
