It's Sunday. What's New With You?

Greetings.  Well, I was in bed fast asleep.  Hubby stayed up to watch some DVR recordings of boxing and came to bed around 12:30 p.m.  He plopped in bed which woke me up -- so here I am.

We were supposed to get a huge storm tonight.  It must have petered out over the ocean because we've had a little rain and a little wind but nothing big like forecasted.  That's more than OK with me.  I'm not a big fan of the huge wind storms where it sounds like the roof is going to come off.

We got a puppy about a month ago.  He has stolen our hearts.  We've named him Logan.  He was 15 weeks old yesterday.

Other than that, not much new.  Well, except for the fact that our son and his wife are expecting twins.  But, I think I already posted that news here a couple of weeks ago.

What's new with you?

Has anyone on here taken Meloxicam???   There is a good possibility that I have RA, and the doc wants me to take this NSAID.   I told him the bariatric docs don't want us to take nsaids, but he sort of poo-pooed it, saying less than a 1% chance of side effects.   I'm afraid to take it, so I've just been taking extra strength tylenol.   comments, pls???

I am having a lot of pain in my right hand.  Having an EMG on 11-4 plus blood work this week to see if it's RA and/or carpel tunnel issues.   The doc said both my hands are in terrible shape.    My hands are necessary for my work, plus I so enjoy playing the piano and doing needle work....not a good diagnosis.

It's supposed to get into the low 70's here today -- wish I had someone to help me wash my outside windows before the snow flies.

Off to church in a few minutes -- have a blessed day.
Good thoughts and prayers for all in need.

Pat R.

Pat,

I looked it up on Mayoclinic.com.  I would most certainly check with the bariatric doctor before taking this drug. Just a suggestion since I don't know anything but what was written.

i got up at 545 with the dogs- went to bed early and they were real troopers to sleep thru the nite- tho they had me boxed in between them !!! they have had breakfast and beem out-it's raining pretty steady so they only stayed out so long as absolutely necessary! i made some breakfast but really don't feel well- think i may have a flu type bug - and i sure don't want that!! i'm thinking hot tea and back to bed.....

had an invite to dinner with two couples- think i would be smart to pass due to not feeling well...durn! had mom's car too!but i don't want to pass any germs...

sat with pen and paper this morning- budgeting-ouch!

well- need to feed the birds and then i'm going to make tea...

hugs and prayers

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning all

There is nothing like a good dose of the M&M's to cure all ills.  We played 'chase'. They run through the house with me on their heels. When I finally catch one, they go off to jail in Poppa's arms. No release until the next is caught. Poppa gets to sit and cuddle.

Flying Angels - Lay on my back and lift them in the air on my feet where thay balance. Couldn't do that at 320 lbs. When the M&M's were smaller I could do both at once. Too many wiggles now and they would end up in a dog pile on Grandma.

A perfect day for a walk. They loaded their pockets with pretty rocks until their pants were falling down.

In the front of their house are tons of jack-o-lanterns. Miss M. discovered one was mushy. I explained that there were seeds inside. They both scooped into the yucky mush, found seeds and planted them around a tree. Mr M said he was planting pumpkins, Miss M. was planting pumpkin pies.

In a couple of hours we are going back to play while Mom makes cookies and cupcakes for their school parties and the new Daisy troop.

Life is good.

Good Morning Cindy,
Your post about your new puppy reminded me of my stint with Sookie (my Grand Dog Pup) last night. I stayed with her for several hours at my daughter's house last night. What a bundle (bundle isn't quite the right word for a 90 lb. pup) of energy she is! I was trying to be very careful with her because of my back, but OH MY! She's one happy, healthy lab.
I'm so sorry to hear of your latest health event Pat. Is it nerve pain? I have a friend that deals with that. I hope that you get answers and some relief soon.
We have a champion baseball team- my Dad would be so excited if he were alive. We used to watch the Giants at Candlestick when I was growing up. So I must root for the San Francisco Giants... it is our team.
I'm doing some packing of summer clothes today. I'm trying to get the house in order so that I'll have less to do after I get back to work. Tonight I'm going to see a concert by myself- Vince Gill.
I'm COLD today! Brrr.... lots of wind and rain.
I need to color my silver roots too.
