Good Morning Jacki!
I'm up for a few... then back to bed. Today I'm going to Sonora for a play with my TOPS friends. I think it's called "Sisters of Swing Do Christmas" or something like that. I think it's getting to be that time already. I don't have any other news... no news is good news! Hi to all!

Hi All
Well it's Saturday night here in Oz, 7.30 pm to be exact. Had a good day today. Dropped hubby off for his golf trip at 8.30 am this morning then headed out for breakfast with a friend. I had about 1 tablespoon of scrambled egg. Then I potted around a few shops looking for what we used to call a 'banana lounge' for my son's partner. As mentioned before she had rods put in her back for scoliosis and is still recovering. She has become quite housebound because she needs to lay down all the time. Penny dropped last night when I realised what I could get that would help her socialise again. Then I went for a swim and did 80 lengths of the 25 metre pool. That tired me out something awful so when I got home I had a shower, watched some tv then hit the sack. So unlike me!!
Tomorrow I will swim again but not sure what else. Cooking hubby a nice roast tomorrow night for when he gets home.
Have a good weekend all.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Morning Jacki,
What a difference a week makes :(
Anyway, I finally succumbed to putting the heat on last night, as when I got home from visiting with the grands and my son and his wife, it was really chilly in the house, themostat read 65 and so to take the chill out I put it on at a low temp nights and when no one is home, but evenings needs some chill reduction. . .
Of course, Roxie, like your kitty kat, wants what she wants when she wants it (lol) and her feeding schedule is like your Kitty Kat, though that is not what she cares about, nope, pet me, pet me and pet me some more, never enough for her (lol).
Well, I am about to get ready, taking a trip up north to visit with my cousin and go to my Great Aunt Mary's house where we will go through her things and she is giving me some of the stuff that are family heirlooms (memories). We are 11 months apart and she an only child, we grew up like siblings, down to and including her going home from school and sharing whatever mischief I got into (lol), oh the fights we had at times (lol) and so she wants to share things with me. Aunt Mary, well she is 95 and now in a home for people with severe dementia, she went to the gym 5x a week up until about 3 years ago, so she is healthy as a horse, but her mind, not so much and in the past year, she became very abusive and my cousin needed to do something for her well being. It is sad, my cousin went through so much to make this decision, but the place she is in, is like a country club and she is getting the care that she needs. . . I hope I die before I get to such a place. . .
Before I meet my cousin, I am meeting a good old friend for breakfast, someone I did a lot of camping and deadheading with when I lived in NYC, had a mad crush on him for a number of years, but he never liked me that way and our friendship has been ongoing and very good for over 20 years now.
Ok, I better get moving. . .
You all have a wonderful day, wishing peace and strength to those of you facing more serious challenges.
Hugs, Laureen.

My friend and I go out for lunch every week. Yesterday the stress of work and every other yucky hit me. Instead of lunch, we went for a drive along Cayuga Lake. The lake was dotted with white caps, the Fall colors simply glorious. It was a relaxing time to talk about everything and nothing.
Today and tomorrow we will have time with the M&M's. The temps are cool but it will be good to take them for a long walk. We always find such interesting things while walking. Kids have eagle eyes for beautiful rocks, critters, worms and God only knows what else. Stuff that adults might overlook.
Have a great day folks - I will.
Kisses
