TGIF - It's Friday, What's New?

G'Morning to All!
Well, it's 12:30 am on the west coast, but I'm still up, so I though I'd start the thread.    Today, Mom had a fall in her apartment (assisted living facility).  Instead of pressing the Lifeline, she called me on the cellphone.   Long story short, she had alot of bleeding (blood thinner), chest pains and a very sore leg/hip joint.    I got her to the hospital - no heart attack, x-rays showed no break in leg/hip, so they took a CT scan, but we don't have the results yet.   Looks like everything will be ok, but they're keeping her overnight.   She'll have one or possibly two black eyes as a result of the fall.     So, I can only guess what my Friday will be like.  Actually, I'm not complaining.... She's a sweetheart , never complains & is very appreciative.

How's your Friday shaping up??? Talk on & I'll check back when I can.

Good Morning Jan and the rest of OFF,
So sorry about your Mom's fall... hopefully the CT will come back clear too. Maybe she is ready to bump up to the next level of care at the apartment. Do they have that? I know it's much more expensive.
I don't have much going on today. I need to go shopping... there are no staples in the house and our cats are out of food... they will be hungry and demanding (as they should be) so as soon as the store opens I must brave the cold air (I know- I need to shut-up- cold air here is not cold air anywhere else!).
No results on the MRI yet- I will probably hear something next week.

I'm with you on the campaign ads on TV, Margo!  Thank God for the mute button.   What's just as bad is all the phone calls I've been getting as well -- I just hang up!  Besides I've already voted absentee -- mailed my ballot on Tuesday!   I for one will be thrilled when the election is over and done.

Actually turned the furnace up a bit this morning, as I was feeling very cold....Think I will have to put my bedspread back on the bed tomorrow when I change the sheets.

Work this morning, and laundry this afternoon.  May clean, will see how I feel.  I am doing okay with the possible diagnosis of RA....what will be - will be.

The issue with someone picking up fake prescriptions in my name has been turned over to the police....the suspect was positively identified.  Now we'll wait and see what the authorities do about it.

Have a good Friday, everyone.

We have early voting here and I went yesterday. After I finished, I thought how wonderful it would be if you could flip a switch on your TV to cancel ads after you've done your civic duty. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Golly, just think of all the early voting that would inspire!

Good Morning Jan, Julia, the Rest of your folks that have yet to appear. . .

Sheesh, you west coast gals get up early (go to bed late).

Jan, glad your Mom's injuries were not more serious and I hope to age gracefully and without becoming too demanding to any of my children and grateful.

Julia, I truly believe you will find more healing going on and return to the life you so seem to love, teaching suits you. . .

I am having a tough time this morning, I've been up since 4 a.m., things swirling in my head, lots of changes afoot at work and while I am grateful for the job I have, I am also not happy about the changes, more so because of the reasons they have been made and several of my co-workers feel similarly, so I think the universe is forcing me to seek out a way to create my own destiny, this mornings reflection spoke volumes to me, I just need to find my way to making things happen, I think I must face some fears headon and see if I can make my dream a reality.  Hoping this winter will help me find the way.

Wishing each and everyone of you the best of days, the peace and strength to make things happen.

Hugs, Laureen

Thanks Laureen. I know that things will resolve happily for you in their own good time. I've said this many times- "What doesn't kill me will make me stronger!"
