what's new wednesday?
Coffee - always need it. For the second time in a couple of months my coffee pot handle broke.I returned the latest one for another replacement. Different brand this time. We always have a back-up pot or I'd have a caffeine melt down.
I bought a new purse - pretty pink. Annie

Two more doses of the antibiotic and I'm still having problems. My inhaler stays on hand at all times. Tom sounds just as bad but refuses to see his doctor.
Busy day ahead so I had better get motivated.
Kisses

Woke up @ 4:00 to potty and have been awake since. It will make for a looooonnnnnggggg day. Being busy will keep me going, I'll be fine as long as I don't sit down....lol
I guess there just isn't much going on here in Central AR. It actually rained yesterday, first time in over a month. Very unusual for this area, and we're 14 inches below normal for rainfall. Reminds me of life in So CA.
Okay, off for another cuppa. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and know I think of all of you often!!!

Good mornin' ya'll.
It's a chilly mornin' again here. And it has been warming up nicely during the day. But everytime we open a door at least 6 giant mosquitos come in. I'm sure it is a by-product of all the rain we've had in the last few weeks. There is no standing water in my yard or around our property, but I'm sure there is somewhere in the neighborhood.
At PT yesterday Kira added 4 more exercises. She also gave me the go ahead to use a pulley system at home for some of the exercises. So I went to Lowe's and got what I needed for the pulley system and built it (it needs to have a large handle at each end that I can clutch from the bottom and the side). I also got the stuff to create a device I can screw to the wall and 'walk' my fingers up to strengthen that upper arm muscle. It is nearly built. So sometime today my son or one of my grandsons will mount them for me.
The only place I can get the canister of Nestle' Fat Free Hot Cocoa is the Commissary on Camp Lejuene. So at 10, my DH and I will head on over there and get it, and probably a bunch of other stuff we DON'T need!
And our IBM stock is at an all time high!! It split 2 for one at less than this in 1999. I would love it if it split again! I inherited this stock from my Mom and I plan on keeping it to pass down to my children. The dividends roll over to purchase more stock and I now have 2575 shares.
I better get busy finishing my finger walking device and get showered so we can get to the Commissary while there is still a place to park! At least it's not payday!
Have a fantabulous day!
I am cleaning out the "naughty" foods in my house ONCE AGAIN. I sure need to see a shrink to get my head straightened out.
We haven't had rain here for weeks and there is a high fire threat warning in the mid and northern counties. I took a drive out to my sons yesterday to dump off my yard waste (he takes it into his woods where it can compost), and the trees are just magnificent....sis and I are taking a little color tour drive on Sunday -- we are at peak here in southern Michigan for leaves/color. I heard on the TV yesterday that four years ago on this date we had SIX INCHES OF SNOW. Let's not repeat that statistic again any time soon!
Time to get busy here at work -- good thoughts and prayers going out to all my OFF friends.

Done! Your Ticker:
I had trouble getting my vitamins down this morning. Yesterday I got my flu shot. The man who owns our office park provides them for all his tenants and their employees. I decided to walk to where they were giving them about a half mile. Well, I'm feeling it today because I wasn't wearing the proper shoes for walking. My right heel feels like I jammed it. The bottom is tender and swollen.
I need to get going on thoroughly cleaning my house for Thanksgiving. My son and family will be staying with us so I need to make sure everyone has a place to sleep. AND I am hosting dinner for hubby's side of the family.
Looking forward to this weekend because there are NO PLANS. That's unusual.
Hugs to all.
Bev
Morning Margo, All the others here. . .
Ahh yes, nothing like a good cuppa joe in the morning. . . I set my pot up before I go to bed, so that when I get out of bed the in morning I stumble to the bathroom, wash my face, brush my teeth and then off to the kitchen where I take my vitamins and then have my coffee. Two 16 oz cups and I'm good to go. . . at work I drink decaf all day, with water in between. . .
Here at work, looking forward to this work day being over, so I can enjoy my long weekend. Think it will be rather busy, but full of some good times, just hoping the weather cooperates, but come what may, any day not spent at work is going to be a good day!
Well I guess that is about all I really have to say, but hoping you all have a wonderful day and as always, I wish you all the peace and strength to get through anything life brings to your door today!
Hugs, Laureen

Three phone calls -- two on my cell and one on my landline -- before 9 a.m. woke me this morning. Too early. I answered the landline finally. Ugh. Finally got out of bed just after 9 a.m.
Juliette finally snuggled in bed with me for awhile last night. Not long, but she came up toward the head of the bed and my arms. It's a start. And she came up on my recliner (lured by treats).
Not much going on here. Back to work tonigh****ched the ballgame last night (Rangers-Rays). I know George was happy (Rangers won). Then I read for awhile in bed ... Margo, I'm done with "The Conqueror" about William the Conqueror ... who, you will be interested, defeated the British today in 1066 at the Battle of Hastings. Now I'm reading a book about William Marshal, known as the Greatest Knight ... he fought off those who would have kidnapped Eleanor of Aquitaine and became her champion, tutored and mentored Henry III, served Richard the Lionheart and John. Another very interesting book.
Anyway, have a good day.
