Hey everyone
It's Thanksgiving Day here in Canada and it's also just after 1:00 am.  The weather this weekend has been wonderful with warm, sunny  days and coolish nights.  I spent most of the day outside walking dogs and reading a novel.
I should be in bed as I am supposed to be marking over 100 English papers this weekend.  It ain't gonna happen, but I will try.
What are you up to?

Good mornin' ya'll.

Happy Thanksgiving Day, Margaret. We can all benefit from a little giving thanks.

It's a Federal Holiday today. That means our son and DIL both have the day off, and no mail. But I imagine everyone else will be doing business as usual.

We need to make a quick trip to Wally World today. I want to go while there is still a place to park, but it is COLD out there this morning! I know, it's gonna get colder. But right now 55 seems mighty cold.

I think I have finally gotten back on track with my diet. My eating was getting completely out of control. It is too easy to eat 'around the band'. So many things I can TELL myself are healthy ( fruit and yogurt smoothies ) that just pack on the pounds. It is time to just say NO!!

Our daughter is selling her 4 tickets to the Oregon Ducks - UCLA game. Last time she put her Duck's tickets on Craig's List they sold in 5 minutes. Our Ducks are #2 now! We were disappointed that the Ducks game wasn't on our TV on Saturday. Bummer!

Everyone have a fantabulous day.

Good morning Margaret and all to follow,

Today is my day off and I have to work the second half of it. Oh well, planning on taking off a few days the end of the week for some R&R, so it will be worth it in the end. I'm already cooking like crazy to get things into the fridge for when I'm not home and Gary's ready to eat. It's getting to be my ritual.....cook a lot on my days off, eat leftovers the rest of the week. Seems to be working out alright.

Yesterday was Football Sunday, more like Black Sunday the way the Raiders beat the tar out of our Chargers. Actually, the Chargers beat themselves. I'm considering applying for a position on the team. Can't do any worse than some of those big strong men did yesterday!!!!

Okay, that's it for me. Hope everyone has a grand day and that your challenges be small ones!

Good morning Margaret & all. I am flying so high today! My youngest is home for 2 weeks before he reports to Ft. Atterberry in Indiana. They all went fishing yesterday & only my 10 year old grandson caught one. I guess they all had fun & thats all thats important. Today is catchup day as I was gone for a week. Making venison swiss steak for dinner, & does it smell good.

The guys are working on my DH man cave today. Can't wait til it's done. Only then can I set up my exersise stuff again.
Well I must go & work on laundry & cleaning. Have a wonderful day!!!!!

Hi Margaret and my OFF family:

Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and my other Canadian friends. I remember being in Canada six years ago, just after I had my surgey, on Thanksgiving Day. I had taken a trip to Sault Ste. Marie for a train trip to the beautiful canyon and falls, Agawa Canyon, that year. It was gorgeous ... the colors were beautiful. I didn't walk all the way up to the top of the viewing stand ... bad knees, this was before my knee replacement and I couldn't even try it then ... still couldn't do it now. It was a nice trip; stayed in a little mom-and-pop motel that provided a couple of meals and tickets for the train trip. Nice little vacation.

I am off today but only because it's my regular day off ... today and tomorrow ... and boy, do I need it. The last few days, I've been put through the wringer emotionally. I didn't sleep well last night; went to sleep at 1:30 a.m. but got up at 3 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep until about 5 a.m. (itching, pain, night sweats, etc.). So I read for awhile until I could get sleepy again. Then the phone woke me up at 9 a.m. So I'm kinda tired. I have no plans today. At one point, I considered going to a movie, but there's nothing out there that I'm dying to see. There are two baseball games and a football game today ... good enough. Need to look for a shrink, too. Need someone to talk to desperately. (Dr. Mary Kay is always available and free, but I think I should also see a professional.)

Some days lately I want to curl up in a ball and cry. (Notice I said cry and not die ... not there at all.) When I think of what I left in Michigan ... I had friends there, I had family nearby and I left it all to come here, where I have nothing other than a job I hate. My coworkers don't even respect me. I don't care if they like me or not; at least I knew my coworkers respected me in Grand Rapids.

Sorry, I don't mean to have a pity party, but I don't have a lot of places to vent. Got to watch what I post on Facebook about this, too, because I "friended" some of my coworkers ... I "unfriended" my boss after Saturday night. I couldn't stand to see her on my page anymore.

Oh well, enough ******g and moaning. I should go do something for myself and find something better. Because obviously I'm not going to get it at work.

Have a good day.

Good morning  Margaret and everyone....

WHEW....Calgon take me away!!!  This is the first chance I have had all day to check in. It is so darn busy....guess that is good...that means I have a job!!

My nephew Jeff, was in a horrible car accident last night. If he lives....he is having several surgeries as I type...he will for sure be quadriplegic. I will keep you updated. Send a prayer or two , swing those chickens, send good thoughts or whatever....THANK YOU!!!

Hope you all have a nice day. Pay It Forward or do an Act of Kindness for someone.

I am leaving for Iowa tomorrow and will not be bac****il Sunday. I will try to get on here when I can. My friend is staying at my house while I am gone. It worked out great as they are doing painting at her place this week.

Prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all......connie d

Connie, I'm sorry about your nephew. My thoughts are with you and your family. I have a nephew and a niece, and I know how I would feel if anything happened to either of them or their families ... they are like my children.

My nephew is waiting to become a daddy ... any day now.
