hello my sistahs

I am back from the gym.  Worked with weights today.  May do a little cardio on my bike later today.  It is beautiful here and has been for awhile.  October is the month to be in Houston.  cool weather and lower humidity.  NICE

Will go somewhere this weekend .....to nice not too.  Maybe a state park or a quaint little town.  Haven't decided anything except have to be outside.

Have a great one

Hi Julia and my OFF family:

I see we had two threads today. Happy anniversary and good luck with the MRI. Let 'em drug you up.

I'm on here later than usual because I had some running around to do. Because Miss Juliette (in Louisiana, every woman is Miss someone or other, so I just decided to do that with Juliette) won't take her pills in food, I had to take her back to the vet and he gave her shots for her allergy. My only fear is one is a steroid shot, and it was a steroid shot that gave Kittle diabetes (I am sure of it!). The vet said that it sometimes happens, and he said he would take care of  it if it did happen. I hope she doesn't get diabetes ... it was horrible for Kittle. Of course, Kittle was 15 at the time.

After that, I had to go back to my doctor and sign release papers for records for the pain clinic. So I dropped Juliette back home and then drove out to West Monroe. Then I stopped off at Rite-Aid to get a few things. I might change my prescriptions over there; I'm ticked off at Walgreens and I'd get $25 gift cards for switching. Plus, I get bonus points for doing it on my Rite-Aid card. Every little bit helps.

Well, another fantastic fun Football Friday ... yuck! It's 90 degrees today (or it will be). I need food. Have a good day.

Hello everyone & happy Friday(what's left of it).  I'm new on this forum but have been reading the post here for a week or so and decided to "join you all".  It sounds like you've all became OH friends and keep in contact with one another via internet.  The fact that you all are "fur parents" touched my heart and we definitely have that in common.  I have 2 "babies", both adopted from SPCA, Buster who's Dachshund/Jack Russel mixed, he's 4 yrs. old and is spoiled rotten!!!!  Emma is full blooded miniature Dachshund and she's "queen bee" around here, she's my "old lady" approx. (according to Vet) 8-9 yrs. old.  I LOVE my babies.

Eileen, that's so funny that you mentioned that you're thinking of changing your prescriptions to Rite Aid.  Just today  my DH & I went to Rite Aid and did just that.  We both received 2 $25 gift cards and shopped.  Bought some expensive hair gel for thin hair that I usually wouldn't have purchased @ $21.00 a bottle!!  Anyway, since surgery in'09 my thin hair still needs desperate help thickening up!!  Speaking of surgery, to aquaint you all with me, I had RNY surgery April, 2009 and my DH had his RNY surgery August, 2010.  He's not even 2 months out and has lost 38 lbs. thus far.  He's done great except for today.  Yesterday  he complained of constipation so I have him some MOM last night.  This morning he woke up hurting really bad in his lower left side.  He had a bowel movement but still not a regular one..he said it was hard(sorry) and all day he's battled nausea, light pain and weak feeling.  Right now as I type this, he's asleep on the sofa.  I bought him some Benefiber while @ Rite Aid today so I'll start him on that tomorrow.

Anyway, (have NO clue why I'm typing italics now...lol) I thought I'd say hello to you all and hope it's ok for me to join you.

Welcome Cindy; hope your hubby is better. I have constipation issues too ... mine is too much iron supplements and vicodin. I take stool softeners. I also take FiberCon. The one thing about fiber ... it'll bulk you up, so it's good if you have diarrhea too (not many people know this), and if you take too much fiber,  you can make your stools too hard at times. A stool softener at night can help make things easier.

Also, drink lots of water ... very important ... and veggies count as water, especially things like lettuce and celery and things with a high water content. We have to keep reminding my mom about this (the water part). She is constipated now and doesn't understand why. She is driving my brother crazy.
