Tremendous Tuesday

Good morning everyone.  It 8.50 am here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. Qld Tourism advertises this state as beautiful one day and perfect the next. Well you wouldn't know it from some of the weather we have been having, but today....it's one of those beautiful days.

Beautiful blue sky dotted with small fluffy white clouds.  Just a hint of breeze.  The tomato plants are growing next to my window and there are lots of green ones on the vine.  Yay tomato season is on its way!

The fronds on the palm trees are swaying in the light breeze and their green is intercepted with beautiful shades of the various bougainvillea flowers.  Yes.  A beautiful day.

First I am taking my niece to the beach (she suffers from soriacisis (spelling?) and the sal****er is wonderful and is the sun.  Then we are heading north to a place called Yandina and the Ginger Factory.  It's not a too long drive up the highway but it's a beautiful tropical paradise when you get there. They sell some lovely cooking ingredients there.

Then at 2.00 pm I am off to my general practitioner have my staples removed. I have been getting really painful calves and I am a bit concerned about my circulation so will get her to check it out while I am there.  I am still wearing my hospital stockings because they seem to stop the pain from turning into cramps.  Am I deficient in something?  Will find out.  I have been walking plenty and drinking well so not sure.

Well I couldn't take my vitamins in a liquid form.  Positively disgusting.  I tried and tried but to no avail.  Hit the chemist for tablets and a pill crusher.  Will do my first one when I finish up here.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

I'll come back later when it is really Tuesday here, but oh how your description of your paradise made me feel good! Our tomato season is almost over. . . .and fall is in the air. I'd love to be on the beach and in the sal****er too.

Waisted the day working on the riding mower.  Got it going right before dark, lol.  I want to share some self affermation cards I got.  The set is called Wisdom Cards by Louise L. Hay.  I am going to meditate on each new card every day.

Today's card says:  I have the power to make changes.  It is so comfortable to play victim, because it is always someone Else's fault.  I have to land on my own two feet and take some responsibility.

I thought about my eating habits today.  I blame my husband every time he brings me home a diet Coke or Wheat Thins as I scarf them down.  I have to take responsibility to eat right and not get caught up in the carb. cycle.

of the year.

hope those staples comes out OK, and that you feel good.

all is well in NJ at the moment.

i also like the meditation card thingie, so i guess i cant blame the cat for that extra

Good morning Jules and my OFFer's!

Wow....I wonder how long it would take me to save the $$ to go to Austrailia? Maybe I'll win the lottery and be able to do that someday. Your description makes me want to go all the more.
Please let us know what your doc says about the leg pain, it is worrisome!

Last evening I met with two gal pals from our support group for coffee. It was so nice to be able to chat and laugh, talk about husbands and personal matters with out worry. Funny, there's a span of 20 years age difference, one 34, one 42 and then me, 55, and we all have the same cares and concerns. Old habits and struggles are creeping back into our lives, and while we didn't solve any problems, it was great knowing none of us are alone in our struggles with weight and eating issues.

Okay, off to put color on my hair and get moving. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning everyone...
Gosh you're up early Susan!  I'm generally out of the bed around 6 a.m. ....never set the alarm, I have one that meows....lol.

We had a great speaker at support group last nite, Dr. Vincent DiNick.  The man has credentials that don't stop....woo hoo.  His power point show was awesome -- there is hope for body reconstruction after WLS.  I asked about Medicare and he said they would cover the tummy tuck.....so now I'm considering it.

Another cool morning here -- had a hard frost Sunday nite, and I need to go pick the last of my tomatoes....I'll bring in the green ones and they will eventually ripen on the window sill.

Off to work this morning - yesterday I was so busy I barely had time to drink a cuppa.

Have a great day,
Pat R.

Good morning herdygerdy and OFF family,
Yesterday was busy at work so the day flew!
My goal was to do water aerobics after work but the doc's office caught me just before I left work and ordered a cat-scan on Thursday for abd. and pelvis area because of pain and swelling. So I will hold off on exercising at the gym until I get my results. I do have a high pain tolerance so I guess I will just walk for now. That's fine but I do miss going to the gym.

The trees are turning colors here in Michigan. I love fall! So crisp and clean.
Have a great day everyone!
