Thursday-what's new this first day of Fall?
Hope you are on the mend and feeling better soon. . .

Margo...must be in the air...Frustrations and just having a bad day yesterday...I'm with you!
It's suppose to get to 88 today in Michigan! Wow...gotta go outside for a walk today and that alone with brighten me up!
Nothing new except my SIL is taking mom out of Rose Arbor into her home on Friday. That is what I'm so upset about. She is getting wonderful care at Rose Arbor, even the nurses are upset. I'm an out-law and will keep my mouth shut. Okay now is the time for me to just "Let Go and Let God" and just hope all is well with mom at my SIL house. Hugs to all...Debbie
Still fighting jet lag....fell asleep before the end of Survivor last nite.
Both neighbors came over in the p.m. to hear about my trip and see the pictures. I had brought them a little something from Germany as well. Didn't spent much on stuff to bring back and actually didn't buy myself anything -- the cost of the trip was gift enough...lol
Supposed to get up to 88 deg. here today --
Meeting my sis for lunch. Then home to water my plants and relax.
Have a terrific Thursday,

Done! Your Ticker:
Wow, was it the last day of summer that made it such a downer/frustrating day? Mine wasn't great either. The husband of one of my dearest clients was taken home from the hospital to hospice care after fighting multiple myeolma for 8 years. They are a wonderful family and have certainly fought the fight. Then, we found out that the husband of a co-worker is riddled with cancer as well....from throat to pelvis, so all around it was a rough day. This part of our lives won't be getting better, so all we can do is be there and support one another the best way we can.
Today I'm stuck in the house waiting for the Dish Network guy to come hook up our HD system. FINALLY! We bought a HD ready tv 5 years ago and are just now getting it switched over. I'm trying to get motivated to clean around here, but all I've managed to do is work on some laundry. Ok....going to get the "what are you eating" thread going and then get off the computer. Hope you all have a grand day!
Susan

Today I have a little back ache, just annoying enough to take some Tylenol. It is too darn hot around here for it almost being October. It's supposed to hit 90 today. WTH? The change in weather patterns from when I was a child is very scary. We always wore fall clothing to start school.
God was on my side this morning. There is a little coffee shop on the first floor of our building. I went down to buy a pastry

Going with Hubby on a bus trip with the American Legion to Mohegan Sun Casino on the weekend. It should be fun. It cost $40 but they give you $30 worth of vouchers to use for gaming and buffet. We are not big gamblers. We decide what we are willing to lose and that's our limit, then we walk away. But there is so much more to do and see there.
Thinking of everyone with challenges.
Hugs,
Bev
Margo...sorry you had a frustrating day yesterday...hope today is a much better day!!
Debbie....sorry to here that your MIL was removed from a place that seemed to be working out so well for her. I will continue to keep her in my prayers.
Eileen...keeping you in my prayers....hope you are feeling a bit better.
I had a really rough night last night trying to sleep. The changing weather is causing my Fibromyalgia to flare up something awful. I was in so much pain. I couldn't get comfortable. I ended up taking a Vicodin and a Flexeril at about 2 AM. I finally got some sleep.Today is rainy and cold so I don't expect a better nights sleep tonight.
I have to work 3 hours today so I best get started.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
Prayers continue for so many in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
HI Margo and Friends,
Just have a minute and then need to get in gear. I'm a happy girl today. This afternoon Mike and I will drive about 90 miles to meet our daughter and the 3 little grand daughters. We'll have a bite at McDonalds, RUN the twins for a bit, and then I'll ride home with Erin and entertain the girls. Mike will follow.
There are two black and pink Swhwinn Roadster trikes waiting at our house. Would have made great Christmas presents but Papa Mike couldn't wait so we get them tonight. Don't know if they'll catch on to the peddling fast or not. Hope so as I remember that bending over and pushing a bike when the kids were little, and I'm 30 years older than I was then.
It will be a very busy next few days. Our son called last night and he and Kristin will be over for the weekend. They haven't seen the girls in a while either. With them living with the inlaws (Erin's family) during their new home's remodel we have no place to stay over there! So we'll have to grab our time when we can. It's an ordeal for her to drive with 3 little ones 5 hours. Thank goodness they get to stay til Tuesday.
Then we'll follow them home, again me riding along. We'll leave them and head out along the Olympic Penninsula for a few days ending up at my older brother's north of Seattle in Marysville, WA
Well, I've stalled too long. Lots to do to "babyproof" the house and get ready for my "babies" to come home. I'm a happy woman when my family is all under the same roof even for a short time.
Erin's little dog, Lucy, has been staying with us. She'll go nuts when she sees her family. Maggie and Lucy both absolutely adore our son so that will be fun to see too.
Have a great day everyone!
