Here we go---sailing this boat together!

Here we go, starting out another week that I hope is successful for everyone!  All we can do it the best we can, right?

I stepped onto the scale this a.m. to find that I'm back to my pre-New Orleans weight. Whew!  Tossed out all of the sugar free candy in the house and work, now I just have to deal with the Cocoa Roasted Almonds that "somehow" got here from Sam's. Hmmmmmm. Just more proof that just because something is good for you, doesn't necessarily mean handfuls of them are!

Here's yesterday:

cottage cheese w/ cantaloupe and a mini bagel
tuna sandwich on a sandwich thin
steak, 1/2 baked potato, green beans
applesauce w/ lf granola

Have a great day!

Hi Susan, (Hi Karen :-) )

I am starting the 5-day pouch test today. Liquids only for next two days. Wish me luck. I am determined to lose these  pesky 10 or so lbs that have "creeped" up on me, I am not Innocent I gave them  my permission, of course. It will be 3 years in Oct and I think I can get pretty close to where I want to be by then at least halfway there.

Yup, I'm here lurking hoping that it will soak in! So good to see you. I know you'll feel so much better soon just taking positive action. You can do it. Just keep telling yourself, "I can do anything for a short time." Stay busy, and before you know it you'll be through the first 2 days and into "real" stuff. Have a great day.

Yesterday I wandered through the freezer (not literally), looking for something to eat.  Ended up collecting homemade chicken stock and a huge variety of veggies, some store bought, some home frozen, and grabbed a can of black beans.  Threw them all into a soup pot, added 1/4 cup of barley and simmered the whole mess for a few hours.  Incredible soup!  And everything but the black beans and barley were like free food!  I didn't even freeze any of it.  Just stuck the whole thing, pot and all, in the fridge.  Gonna eat it when I'm craving "something", until it's gone.  Then gonna make some more.  Just the ticket for these days that I can't seem to get warm.  And it adds to my fluid intake, as there's plenty of broth in it.

1% cottage cheese with 1/2 nectarine
stew
vegetable soup
1/2 nectarine
grilled turkey with swiss on whole grain flatbread
vegetable soup

Yesterday felt like a good day.  Sure beats beating myself up for being so out of control.

Everyone have a good day.
