Good News At Last!

Oh Margo- with all you've been going through, you definitely know overwhelming! I will be back to school before you know it! I went yesterday for a while to get some hugs and to relay my news! It was so fun to tell THAT little tidbit! So many of my colleagues have been worried- the thought of metastasis naturally makes you think of a "downhill slide"...I know that was my thought. I do feel that my career has become my calling. My poor husband- he is a rack, but this had him frightened. He's been extra kind this month (he's a kind man naturally)- he is even growing his hair back because I always liked it longer- he had shaved his head several years back without asking me and I raised holy hell. It was easier that short, but he is a handsome man and I loved his hair (what is left of it!-LOL) My husband has a friend whose wife has metastatic breast cancer and he has been meeting with that friend several times a week (they work together at Gallo) to talk and decompress. If I were to die (I wasn't beating around the bush with this) my husband would be financially fine- the house is almost paid off, I have several insurance policies, tax shelters, and a substantial retirement sum, but emotionally I know it would be tough, especially with our daughter. Thank goodness we aren't going there now!

I notice that when I am worried/preoccupied my typical personality is still there but kind of incognito. It still came out once in a while, but now I'm BACK- full force again. Party I will- hugs back at you Debbie!
