Yep, this is what we have to do! We feel better, and we do know that one extra bite for us will make us miserable. Hugs Debbie

Have you ever....

Have you ever gotten up from the dinner table knowing you ate an appropriate amount and ...that was it.  No guilt or frustration.  But also, and equally important -- you felt good physically.  No stuffed feeling.  No sluggishness.  Just light and ready to move on to the next activity.

Are you seeking to cultivate this feeling?

Yeah...learning to walk away with something still on your plate is good practice. Best practice. Something we should always strive for. During stressful times I have to make myself leave the table...or I'd just continue to graze.

Our new motto Connie is: Leave it and walk away!! LOL
Oh yeah...we can do this....and right now I have a tendency to comfort eat. Man, I wanted this huge cinnamin roll in the cafe this morning. Mind you I all ready ate a good breakfast at home (scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon on rye toast, 1 piece) and still I was looking at the donuts and rolls. I did win the battle though, I bought a small bag of Second Nature california medley of just good stuff, roasted unsalted nuts and dried fruits. Okay...now I have to not eat the whole bag!!! LOL

Okay today I will try to walk 2 miles around the hospital. Crap, I need to get my butt back in the gym!
