Janet, your new photo looks great.

If you find a man, find one for me ... just want his money, don't really want him. Just want him to support me.

Unfortunately, Eileen, we are all in the same boat.  I don't want a man in my life, but would like to take some trips, stay in a separate room, have him pay for meals, etc... and no bene's on his side.

Truthfully, not sure I even want one to support me.  They are just more trouble than I think they are worth.

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:

I'm so glad this is my "Friday" ... I've had a hell of a week and the last two days have been really ****ty. Yesterday would have been fine except for the last half hour ... got my last two stories in the final 15 minutes and then had to slop them on the page without reading them. And I had my boss behind me saying, "Don't edit them, just put them on page." Fine, she hired a copy editor, now she wants me to be a paginator. Fine... that's what I'll be then, and there's mistakes, well, then there will be mistakes. I was 10 minutes, but when the stories don't get in til 11:20, I can only work so fast. Next Friday and Satuday, I'm just slopping on the page.

So again, I came home frustrated, sore, tired ... I hardly took a potty break, ate a protein bar for dinner. I was wired, not ready to go to sleep ... hungry. Made something to ea****ched a movie on Starz "Miracle at St. Anna" ... OK, a little confusing with all the subtitles, but OK.

The good news last night was Scooter ate some treats when I got home; this morning he had eaten yesterday's dinner; today he ate of little of this morning breakfast. I still have doubts he's OK. I feel like I'm wasting a lot of these pills. He seems perkier, though ... he meowed all morning to get me out of bed, then my brother Gary called and got me out of bed at 11 a.m., so Scooter was happy. Oh well, I needed to get up anyway ...have to go to work at 3 p.m. today. The good thing is I have a free Starbucks drink coming my way.

The White Sox are sinking fast; they can't even beat the Royals. Oh well, it was a fun ride. If the bullpen hadn't been so injured in August, it might have been better. Good luck, Twins, hope you get past the first round for a change. I can't even hope for good things from the Bears ... I don't think they're going to be that good.

Well, have a good day. At least there aren't any late stories tonight.

Hey Laureen,

Seems like your vacation just started! Where did the week go? Sounds like you had a great time! I'm so glad. You needed and deserved it!

I just got home from my little trial run in my tent trailer. Had a great 2 nights at a state park on the Snake River just about 20 miles from home. Everything worked great and I had a nice relaxing time catching up with a friend. The weather was perfect. A *****illy early in the morning but we had plenty of warm sleeping bags. We collected wood and had a fire last night and this morning. As usual more than enough food. . . I look forward to many more such trips with the grandkids.

Trying to catch up reading a few posts.

Karen,

I know, the time went way too quickly, though at the time it did not seem to . . .  oh well, tomorrow it's reality time. . .

Always wanted one of those pop up trailer campers, sounds like a great way to go if you like camping but it's harder to do the whole set up when we get up in years (lol). . .  but since I love to camp, I'm always game to do it, nowadays with blow up everything it is not quite so bad, but most of my friends would opt for a hotel room rather than a tent. . .

Talk soon. . .  Laureen

A bit more time consuming than putting up the tent. Not hard and I am able to physically do it. Could NOT have thought about it prior to WLS! Probably couldn't have gotten through the doorway, seriously as I couldn't go through a turnstyle. So worth it when  it's set up to have a bed off of the ground, a little table, and even electricity when in a campground that has it. Feels safer too than a tent on the ground. Much more waterproof than a tent in a rainstorm. All in all lots of fun. It's a 1985 and I just paid $800.00 for it. New ones are anywhere from $5000.00 and way up. Not fancy, but serves my purposes.
