My protein shakes arrived today. They are an all natural product made of whey (the right sort) and the rest is natural seeds. The product is called 180 Natural Protein Supplement. Anybody want to check it out for me and make sure that I am taking the right sort. I know when I checked some of the supplements that other members use, most of them didn't have any calories, or hardly any. Mine has around 200 per serve.
Any comments on the supplement will be much appreciated.

Hi Jules,
I looked on their website and couldn't find any nutritional information. They do say that it is intended to be a meal replacement, and if you say it has 200 calories, I would put it into that catagory as well.
Most of us are on about 700-800 calories a day at the stage you're in. I'd say this would be a good 'stand by" in case you get really busy and can't eat an actual meal. The protein drinks that I use are about 100 calories per serving (or so, depending on what brand).
How many grams of protein does it have?

Yesterday was an easier day. Which is strange, as I was home all day, and the refrigerator is there....
coffee
3 prunes (yup, that's what happens when I stop eating those nasty carbs)
cottage cheese and 1/2 peach
cottage cheese and sf jello (1/2 cup total)
salmon and fresh veggie salad
protein coffee
chicken and 1/2 cup whole grains
coffee
trail mix (150 cal. worth)
sf jello and cottage cheese (1/2 cup)
Need more fluids today.
I'm actually looking forward to getting on the scale. I usually weigh just on Sunday mornings, but this week I'm weighing daily, just for the positive reinforcement.
I'm sleeping better, too, this week. Not sure why.
See ya tomorrow.

Hi Susan
The thing I liked about this shake is that there is nothing in it that I wouldn't eat normally and the bonus is that unlike other protein shakes I am sure this one won't cause constipation given the ingredients which I have listed below. All that's in it is:
Whey protein isolate
Flaxseed
Almonds
Sunflower kernels
Coconut flour/shredded coconut
Cocoa (Chocolate flavour only)
Sesame seeds
Psyllium husk
What do you think?
