I really like it here.  It is nice to be around others with grandkids and slower metabolisms :)
I had a revision on 7/23.  I did have a DS and was having problems with diarrhea and felt miserable.  I also regained 100 lbs from my lowest.  I know it was because I made terrible food choices.  I ate it because I could.  That just made my other problems worse.  I got to where I regreted ever having surgery.  I have been told it was because of my surgeon.  I do feel that my stomach was left too large but I am responsible for what I put into my mouth.
Anyway, I had my common channel lengthened and I feel a lot better.  I decided to have my stomach made smaller because I didn't want to gain any more weight.  I was told that I might not lose weight.  Probably because my history isn't good.  I am trying real hard and just eating on my plan and tracking what I eat and my protein.  I have lost about 28 lbs so I am happy but I know I will always have to watch what I eat.  Last time I thought I could eat whatever I wanted and lose weight.  I did for the first 2 years but after that I started regaining about 10 to 15 lbs a year until I had regained most of my weight back.  I didn't use this surgery as a tool.  Hopefully I have learned my lesson.  I do enjoy being about to feel full after a small amount of food and not feeling hunger, at least not at this point.  I am sure that will return.
Anyway, I am 52.  I have 5 kids and 4 granddaughters.  I am single but I have had the same boyfriend for many years.  I just got laid off from work last year and I have been looking for another job but the economy hasn't helped.
I hope to get to know all of you.

Hi Debbie.  I plan on tracking my eating.  That is where I went offtrack last time.  I just quit all support groups and did my own thing and look where it got me.
Congratulations on the new grandbaby.  My youngest, Sophia, was just born in May.  She is the cutest thing.  Next is Kaci, who is 16 months old.  She is my little doll.  Then there is Cassidy, 3 1/2.  And the oldest is Kamiya, who is 4, so they all came pretty quick.  One of these days I hope to have a grandson lol.  As you can tell I am crazy about my granddaughters.  They are the best.
I am so glad you have the life you want now.  It sounds great.

Laura,
Welcome.  This group is like sitting around the kitchen table with friends - minus the eating of course.
