Intro thread
Tink,
You had me laughing right from the start. Pickled Tink only made me think of tee martunis.
Oh, I have no doubt you'll fit in. What's a 'low 50'? And what's a 'long term relationship'?
I have no idea what you are talking about when you say stuff yourself with carbs to keep from losing....:) I've been trying that obviously, and it does not seem to work for me.. but I've never had the extreme pleasurable sensation JUST ONCE of worrying about losing too much. I apparently just keep cutting off what I gain. I can only give an arm and a leg to the cause now.
Glad you are here.
Janet

Hey Tink,
I LOVE your sense of humor, as to my way of surviving this rat race that life sometimes can be, is by maintaining a sense of humor. . .
This is a great place for support and many of us on here have been here quite a while. This journey has it's ups and downs, though as we get further from surgery it seems most of those ups are the scale numbers ;)
So welcome, we are here, to share what works, the joys and travails of our lives, encourage one another and those newer to this journey. This forum is like one big cyber family, right down to, and including, the occasional sibling hurt feelings, but those are rare and we usually manage to get past things and remember that in general we are here to support one another.
Looking forward to getting to know you.
Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
