Hi Karen and my OFF family:

OK, that song is now in my head ... better than some others at least. I am down to one box of bobbleheads/pictures/nicknacks (that's what it says on the box, although I can't imagine there's more bobbleheads in there). Then I can figure where I wan to put up the big pictures on the wall and get those boxes unpacked. I've been here almost two months and am getting closed to unpacked.

But every time I unpack a box, I get a war wound. Yesterday, I scrapped my left arm on the top of a box ... very bad scrap that started bleeding quite a lot. Even today, when I took off the band-aid to look at it, it started bleeding again.

Didn't do a whole lot else yesterday ... some shopping ... I had a Walmart gift card for $5 because the Walmart near me had a grand reopening. I needed a few things that I wasn't able to find at Brookshire's so I went to Walmart looking for reduced fat cream cheese ... you know, the spreadable stuff ... well, they don't have it either. It's hard to find certain stuff around here. Disappointing, really. But I needed salad, spinach, too. So I spent about $8 on cream cheese and greens and only paid $3 and something. Then to Walgreens for some stuff they had on sale, then went over to this Chinese restaurant because Saturday, they ordered Chinese at work and it smelled so good, I was craving it. So I got some Chinese food for lunch to take home. The place doesn't look like much inside, but boy, the food is good. They even have brown rice if you want it (it's $1 more). And even roast duck! Yum! I didn't get anything like that, but good to know. Then tried to get home down the main drag, Louisville Avenue, and it's down to one lane for construction, so I started looking for alternate routes ... and now I know the back roads to Walmart, Walgreens, etc. It's good to know. I also found the post office yesterday ... it's very close to my apartment. It was a day of discovery, you might say.

Not much on tap today, either. Don't think I'll leave the premises today ... just go out later to drop off garbage at the dumpster and pick up mail at the mailbox. Otherwise, it's laundry and unpacking in the afternoon, then baseball in the evening.

Oh, my niece-in-law and my nephew have decided on a name for their baby boy: Alexander Glenn. My brother (the grandpa) has teased he'll call the boy Alex ... Christopher says, no, it's Alexander. That's kinda funny because Christopher never liked being called by the full name; he prefers Chris ... but his mother would get angry if you called Chris.

Susan, take care of your toe. If you have some Birkenstock sandals or open-toe shoes that are flat, they might help with walking. And like everyone else said, tape the toe. Sounds like something I'd do ... and have done.

Have a good day, everyone.

Hi Karen and all my OFF friends,
My nephews wedding was beautiful.  It was in the carriage house of a mansion.  The carriage house was made of stone and had turrets.  It was almost as big as the mansion.  The wedding was on the portico facing Cape Cod Bay.  The reception was inside.  It was a traditional wedding reception.
I got to spend time with the grandkids and that was the best.  The weekend after next we will go to their house for my granddaughter Tess's first birthday party.
Tomorrow I go to the psychologist.  Tonite I carry out my assignment from her.  To write my husband a letter about what bothers me and then talk to my husband about what is in the letter. Yikes.
This weekend is my Mom's birthday party at our house - just a simple cook-out.
Susan, I hope the swelling goes down and it's easier for you to walk.
Today I started the five day pouch test - for real.  LOL.  So far I've had two protein shakes and a can of low salt chicken broth . . . and water.  And guess what?  I'm not hungry. Yay.  At least for today, tomorrow may be another story.
Well I have a project at work to get started on.
Hugs,
Bev
