Its Saturday!!!!!!! Smile someone loves you!!!!!
We're actually doing something (fun) today! The family is getting together to celebrate my MIL's birthday with a big picnic/pool party. It's supposed to be humid today but not terribly hot so that's okay. Besides, there's a pool.
My wireless keyboard transmitter became psychotic the last couple of days and I haven't been able to post because windows were continually opening and closing and the keyboard would start typing on its own. It was VERY bizarre and took awhile to figure out what was going on. Now I have a wired keyboard and mouse and things are back to normal, whew!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Another night from hell last night at work. The previous night, the server went down and kept us from working; well, we had similiar problems last night, except mine happened half hour before deadline as I was trying to print my sports front page so the guy in sports could look at it. My system crashed, I couldn't get it back up for another 20 minutes at least and I still needed to finish my jump page and the Scoreboard page. Someone helped me with the scoreboard page (which just needed a couple of things) and then when I got back up, I was able to finish the jump page, my front and I only missed deadline by 15 minutes. Plus, I had issues with business graphics, which I'm just learning, and couldn't get them to download right away ... aargh! At the end of the night, my boss sent an e-mail saying we should get started on anything we can because we probably will have similar problems Saturday night ... well, that's fine except that will mean I'll work overtime, which she has forbidden ... plus, the only thing I could work on would be the Today on TV agate ... which takes about maybe five minutes. So what's the point? I was tired, I was cranky, I hadn't been able to get any water in me (or out to the bathroom again). I just wanted to go home. So I did. I kept my mouth shut at work and didn't blow up (thank you, antidepressants), but I really wanted to go home, get some ice on my knee and neck and forget about the night.
Part of the problem last night was the sports editor is leaving, so he didn't leave instructions with his crew and I came in at 3 and had nothing to work on for an hour. Hopefully, tonight will be better organized.
I had to get some coffee ... much better. Spent part of yesterday afternoon buying a baby shower gift for the newest addition to the Briesch family ... Baby Boy Briesch soon to join Chris and Jill in Dallas on 10-10-10. Wish I could go to the shower, but there was a misunderstanding with my boss. Oh well, I'm short on money anyway. After paying bills, buying groceries and necessities at Walgreens ... not much left. Got more bills to pay yet. Oh well, at least I have a job to pay them with.
Have a good day, hope you have something fun to do today.

I know it is late and a lot of you won't read this but... I'll post anyway. I think I hit a milestone in healing. This morning I ordered some toys for school online! I felt well enough to shop AND I was assuming that I would be back to work soon. I know that I will have to be patient, but I think that if I start back slowly I'll heal faster. We'll see what my doctor has to say. Other news here... I found out that our neighbors next door had three puppies and that two if them died of Parvo. Luckily my Sookie had all of her shots before we even allowed her to go into our backyard, but having that disease in dogs that have escaped into our yard through our fence scared me. It just goes to show- don't trust that other dog owners do what they should to vaccinate their dogs (or spay them). This is definitely one of my pet peeves. If you can't afford a pet and what goes with it- DON'T get one.
I'm sounding normal again... :)

My "buying resistance" is so LOW in the middle of the night. Whenever I've been recouping from surgery like my knee replacements I catch all of those middle of the night infomericals. Everything looks and sounds so wonderful .That's how I ended up with 2 Magic Bullets. One for my daugther for Christmas and one for me must because. I guess they know that because that's about all that is on at 3am!
I was ranting on and on about my car license renewal. Mike commented that I must be feeling better. Would you believe I have to pay $20.00 for new plates and $4.00 is I want the police to be able to "read" the plates at night time. A "reflective coating fee". And here's the one that really got my panties in a wad. . . . another $20.00 if I want to keep my same license number! Can you spell greedy to make cash anyway you can here in Washington. Guess the prisoners will have job security but I sure as heck don't need new plates. We used to keep them forever. Now I guess it's every so many years whether you want to replace them or not. wow, I digress. Can you tell I just took a pill. However, with me it's not a happy pill!
