this not having a car of one's own has some benefit---when i get in the car after an exhausting monday at the bank; i don't have to think or pay attention in order to get home! just sit and nod my head when mom and nephew talk!

tho.........gosh i feel like my legs are cut off when i want to go somewhere!

i called human services and (via automation) requested forms for assistance be mailed....

quiet nite at home- michael put the stereo in the living room for me- had mucho stuff to move to get it there- i appreciate the efforts....maybe tonite we'll hook up the speakers so we can have some music!

we watched our trains on RFD TV and had a simple supper- whale wars til 10 pm got me current on the show...i slept like a baby-

boss offered me 7 hours today and i took them! she is out of office most of the day and it makes it easier on the other two gals- i need the $$$ so -yea!

time to get gorgeous-run the razor on the legs etc....

this humidity is really getting to me...................at least we don't have to plow it!!!!
hugs and prayers

Good morning Margo and everyone......

All I can say is thank God it isn't Monday!!!!  I ended up working 9.5 hours without a break yesterday.....I was so exhausted I FELL into bed last night!!

Margo....it was nice of Michael to get the stereo hooked up. I love to have music playing.

Carla....hope all goes well for your MIL. This is a hard time for all of you.

Grammylew......I am happy to hear your son is coming home. I think it is wonderful that families are allowed to put up welcome signs for all these military people. It brings tears to my eyes!

I haven't got much planned but working, going to the Post Office,  and tanning at some point today.

Wishing you all a safe and happy day. Prayers to many in need.

Love and hugs for all.......connie d

Up early to go over to the hospital for my 3 yr WLS labs -- 8 vials of blood later.....then two of the tests were did not have a proper diagnosis, so ended up calling GHP for the codes -- they knew right away what the tests were, so this must be something they've heard b/4. They were going to call the hospital and give them the correct codes...hope so, it was going to cost me over $150 if I had to pay myself!

I am so tired of the hot humid weather -- and it looks like we will have it the rest of this week yet.  I am not a hot weather person - never have been -- thank goodness I can ride my recumbent bike indoors.  Still haven't been to the pool, my days are so full lately.

Better get back to work - have a great day.

Pat, It took my 3 years of post WLS lab test and my paying through the nose to finally figure out the "right" code for Uniform Medical insurance. My code needs to be "medical malabsorbtion" in order for insurance to cover my yearly labwork. What a game we have to play sometimes. So today I'm going to double check with my doctor's office before having my labs done next week to make sure the code is right and that all necessary labs are included. Last year they didn't check my D and B12~ I had to go back and have more blood drawn for those; not something I like to do! I've been religious about my calcium D and B12 this year. I'm anxious to see the numbers.

Morning!

Busy, busy day, so this will be short.

I'm getting stinking tired of this heat. Yes, I know that losing weight has gotten me to the point where I'm rarely effected by it, and have actually enjoyed not pouring buckets of sweat all day long. BUT there is a limit to it!  We're going on our 3rd week of 100+ temps and it's getting really old.

Okay. I feel better. Hope you're having a great week so far!

Hugs to all

Susan

Good morning Margo and Susan,
I am sitting here thinking of coffee too. I need to make a pot.
I am getting ready to go to
chicago tonight to meet up with Carl. I think I am going to a not to good situation. Hospice!!!! Carl had a meeting with my sister in laws doctor and she [ut my sister in law in Hospice yesterday or maybe it is today. It seems as though her parkinsons is taking a nasty toll on her lungs. She is aspirating everthing she eats so she wont eat. I think she is shutting down.
So we are staying in chicago longer than Friday.
It would be a blessing if something happens. My poor sister in law has been thru the ringer.

Good mornin', ya'll.

Our son will be home tomorrow morning!!  Hooray!!! We have been stationed in many military towns, but this one has a custom we have never seen anywhere else. On the fences outside the gate families can hang signs welcoming their Marine home. There will be a quarter mile of signs which the guys can see as they are bussed onto the base. The sentiments on those signs go from funny to risque`, but they are all interesting.

SOOOOO, today I am making our son his favorite cherry cheesecake as requested. This is a recipe I got in Home Ec class in high school about 50 years ago. It is a family favorite!

I am about packed for our trip to OR for our grandson's wedding. And I got an e-mail from our daughter confirming my trip back there in Oct. I should be pretty well recovered from my new shoulder by then. Of course still doing PT at home.

Still hot and humid here. Thank God for AC, in house, in cars, in stores.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!
