Are you eating? Is it what you should be eating???

Ahhhhhhh, that's  the REAL question, itsn't it?

My nutritionists told me once there are no "good" or "bad" foods. Food has no personality, they are either beneficial or non-beneficial foods that we need to be healthy or avoid. She really torked me off when she said it to me, but it's a thought that has stuck with me for about three years now. I guess she made a real point, because I try to look at food that way most of the time.

What do you think?

Here's my day:

greek yogurt/walnuts/lf granola
salad w/ cheese, chicken and turkey ham
cottage cheese w/ applesauce, walnuts
lentil soup, 10 baked tortilla chips
watermelon

So? How are you sailing along?

Hi Susan,

Took a break from pulling weeds and dead flowers to look in.

I have been doing pretty good and trying to get everything in for the day.  I always get my water and vitamins in for each day.  I guess that is a good start

I was on a deviled egg kick yesterday.  Thanks to my daughter

Coffee
B- One deviled egg
S-String cheese and tomatoe
L- cottage cheese with peaches
S- deviled egg, again!
D- Perch and veggies
S- cottage cheese and peaches.

I have no clue why I ate the same things yesterday.  But, it worked

Susan....I love my nutritionist but come on don't tell me she never slips and eats unhealthy now and then....we all do...DUH!! I agree I do want to be healthy and eat healthy. I do believe we all work toward that goal and have since WLS....or we wouldn't be where we are.

Yesterday...

B-High Protein Drink
L-turkey brat and 1/2 ear of corn
S-banana
D-chicken and small salad
S-bite of corn dog and 1 cheese curd at the fair...YUM

Yup......

I think the whole idea of doing something as drastic as WLS is to force us to relearn what we should have been taught long ago, what most people never were taught, and that's balance. Having a diet soda with a giant slice of pizza isn't the balance I'm talking about either  LOL
