Rowing, sailing, and just paddling along. What's on your plate?

Good morning one and all!

It's too hot to eat. It's too hot to do anything.

Wow....never thought I'd ever be too "anything" to eat...lol

Yesterday:

bkfst burrito
big old salad w/ shredded turkey
8 pita chips
grilled steak, bit of baked beans, corn
applesauce w/lf granola

all my water, supplements and a few lattes/protein coffees thrown in for good measure.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. I'm off to get ready for another busy one at the salon.

Hugs to all!

Susan

In an hour I meet with the personal trainer for the first time. I will try to keep an open mind if he tries to give me advice about my food intake and weight. Who knows, he may actually know something about bariatric needs.

I'm too anxious to get a bite of food down. Not good to exercise on an empty stomach but don't want to get all dizzy either.

Wish me luck.

IMO, unless a trainer has had bariatric surgery, they don't have much knowledge of what our needs are. Chances are good that you know what is best for you, but like you said, try to keep an open mind. Pease eat though!

He was wonderful!!! Told me not to worry about the evaluation - it is not perfect. RELIEF!

Added that after 4 years I must be eating correctly and  figured I was woking with the bariatric team and know what is good for me.

Brag time: he said I have more flexibility and strength than most women 1/2 my age. Yay for the rowing machine, it has helped.

BTW - Tom took me out to lunch at a waterfront cafe.

Annette

i met with a personal trainer for the first time yesterday and i am thrilled.  She will guide me through the machines so I know how to use them properly.  she gave me food advice but it was compatible with wls.  she says lean protein and non starchy carbs with the occasional starchy carb.  She emphasises whole grains and good fat.  i don't know if i can follow her plan exactly although it is a good one as she says no processed foods and nothing with partially hydrogenize stuff.  That is hard to find and follow.  i am seeing her mostly for help with the exercise routine.  Got to get back on a plan.

Linda,

Guess we are never too old for anything. I'm happy to hear that your experience was good. Mine too.
