Sucking on a hard candy and making that awful smacking sound or clanking the candy against the teeth...know what I mean?   When Matthew does this I have to leave the room! and I've asked him not to do it but he still does so that's a DOUBLE push on my button!!!!

Almost equally as bad is "slurping" a cup of tea or coffee....

I loved this question today... thanks Susan!

Snapping gum!  I have a client who's caregiver snaps her gum the whole time I'm working on her patient. I'm always happy when all I'm doing is a shampoo/blow dry and not color!  LOL

Someone 'assuming' that it's okay, or that I'll do it, or that I won't miss it.

It's not, I won't, and I will.

What pushes my buttons......people who stand right in front of me and tell lies.   I can't stand that, especially when I know for sure it's a lie.
Who do they think they're kidding!

And my second choice is people who tailgate -- nothing irritates me more than to have someone driving so close behind me I can't see their front bumper.

Hey Susan,

I could not think of a song, or perhaps I was looking for the perfect one, when the first one that came to mine was, Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive, the Funniest Date story, I didn't have one, but this. . . .

I have several. . .  Top one being lack of common courtesy, seems manners are a thing of the past . . .which reveals itself  in the way people drive, as in people who don't know what a yield sign means, people that cut out from behind you when merging onto a highway and my favorite is what is known here as the leftlane dick, the left lane is typically the passing lane, well seems many folks think it's their cruise lane or that they need to police it from speeders, when in fact it is the lane that is supposed to be used to pass slower moving vehicles. . . .

I 2nd Jan's way of teaching children to pick up behind themselves, that was the way I handled things too, they learned to keep the common areas of the house clean and the door to their room closed.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Robo-phones.  "For service press 2, for billing press 4 for rants press 9, enter your account number followed by the pound sign.  Now enter your phone number and your account number only backwards.  I'm sorry, I did not get that.  Did you type STFU?  We have no accounts with that code.  Goodbye."

Okay, small exaggeration but Comcast put me through the ringer and then the live voice asked all the same questions.  Aaaaarrrrrggghh!

And then there is the yayhoo who pulls their cart into the aisle in front of me and comes to a dead stop, stares at the ceiling and then glares if I try to go around.  Cart rage, I call it.

It is very hard to push my buttons.

But number one would have to be the IVRs - push 1 for etc....  On a side note, I despise when the IVR says press one for English.  I am in America, it better be in English.

I really can't stand people who constantly ***** about their job, yet keep working there.  You don't like it, look for another job.  I have people that work with me, in Customer Service, who get mad because people call in ticked off.  I ask them when was the last time they called their cell phone company to say "you guys are doing a good job."?

And lastly.  Guys, if you are wearing underwear, I don't want to see them.  They call them underwear for a reason.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Well, the one thing that pushes my buttons.... is when I don't get my way..lol

Really  -  If I am argueing with my husband and he starts to laugh.   Man, that gets me even madder.  I could go insane on him.

Peace

Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.
