Hello, everyone!

Im posting from Quebec...the Ottawa Valley..we are here for a week to attend a family reunion which was yesterday  with 150 attending..we came the furthest.  Wish I could have been able to take Mom, along but she no longer travels well.  My cousin from Ottawa came and spend three days with us at our favourite award-winning B&B and we had alot of catching up to do...what a great time!

Several days ago, we all piled into our car and drove thru the countryside to visit yet another cousin, one generation between me and my mother...someone Ive heard about all my life from Mom.  Then we toured about and found the old farms that used to be in the family when we were kids and I got lots of photos of the old wooden barn where I used to jump out of the hayloft to the floor below, covered in fragrant hay.

We have visited many family members from many fgenerations and branches of the huge network of relatives that I have up here.  Today we have dinner with my sister and more cousins...tomorrow a barbeque with another branch on the Island sitting in the middle of the Ottawa River.  On Tuesday, we head home because I have LifePath clients on Wednesday.

The weather is perfect...no humidity...our B&B suite window looks over the river and across to the  original homestead that belonged to my great great Aunt Suzanne & Great great Uncle  Peter.

Well off I go...off to visit more family.

Nancy,

Enjoy the rest of your family reunion and the great weather too!

Hi All!!

Hectic weekend for me....I'm scrambling trying to get my homework finished and I have to take a mid-term exam today (still need to review 2 chapters before I log on for the test).

Still majorly pissed at Matthew (have been since Friday).  Almost canceled my trip back to NY because of him but pretty much decided to go and deal with things after I get back.

Mom is a little better the last 2 days since they finally moved dad into Hospice and he is getting really good care and he seems so much more comfortable and just more peaceful in the hospice surroundings rather than the craziness at the hospital.

Ok- back to studying....will catch up more later
Hope you all are having a very nice weekend.

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:

It's 99 degrees here ... feels like 106 according to my Weather Channel bug. Supposed to be like this all week. So I'll be inside a lot ... not much different than usual. I'm an inside type of person anyway. I have to work tonight and I'm late getting on here because I spent more than an hour talking to my brother and my mom. First my brother Gary called, then my mom got on the phone, then Gary got back on the phone (since they live together. Mom is driving Gary crazy; I knew she would. She wanted to add him to her bank account; the bank rep said she'd have to take my sister off or close her account and open a new one. My mom started worrying she would have to get a new social security number. She was all worked up about that. She really is losing some brain cells, getting some dementia.

Work was better last night. I'm afraid the guy next to me, who's 50 years old, might not be back next week. He can do the job, don't get me wrong, but he was telling me last night how tired he was, how much his back hurt. Well, yeah, my back, knees, shoulders, elbow ... they all hurt. And I had headaches most of the week. But do I want to quit? Hell, no! This guy still lives with his parents ... no real expenses. Maybe it's OK for him. Yes, I'm tired too but I enjoy working, I enjoy being in the office again. We'll see if this guy comes back.

Well, I've got to get ready for work soon. I just got done eating lunch and hopped on the computer. I'll make a quick stop at Starbucks on the way into work before I go to the office (because I left my iced coffee jug at work) and get some iced coffee to get me started for the day. I'm kind of dragging but it's my last day of work for the week. And it's only three pages tonight, I think, and I don't think I have any late stories, unlike last night when I had two late stories (and still was only five minutes late on one page ... not too bad).

Well; have a good day. See ya tomorrow.
