According to "THE CHART" I should weight about 120. . I'm 5 '3" but I'm not small boned. That was very slender on me when I married at 23. I would look skeletal at that now. . . Sometimes they don't factor in our age when they talk about those things. Annette, sincerely, I can not imagine you looking good much thinner. I thought you looked wonderful when we met in Dallas. Muscles, toning, yes, more weight loss no! You know yourself and your body better than anyone else.

Thanks Karen. I agree with the toning. The charts don't have an equation for extra skin either.

I don't need the mental stress of trying to be normal. Healthy is a better goal and that includes mental health.

No, you're not fat. I agree with Connie ... maybe you need to build muscle, but no, you shouldn't lose weight. I have lots of excess fat and loose skin (and an extra 20 pounds that I want off). You don't need to lose weight.

You are sweet Eileen. I plan to keep the extra skin. The thought of any more surgeries scares the daylights out of me.

Strong bones sounds doable but dieting - no way, can't go through that again either.

I think it's bs too.  I'd talk to my doctor before I would go ahead with any plan to lose any weight.

Sybul,

After the initial shock has worn off, I don't think losing weight is going to happen in the near future.

At 5'2" the charts say I can go lower but the charts don't factor in SKIN.

Hi Cassie and my OFF family:

Rough night at work ... missed deadline, mostly because this one reporter was supposed to get me a story at 8:30 p.m. and didn't get it to me until after 10 p.m. Then, it was supposed to be 8-10 inches and it was at least 20 inches instead. And then I had to do a tabbed thing on a piece in the scoreboard and had problems doing it. Arrrghh! So I didn't get done until 11 p.m. instead of 10:30 p.m. when I was supposed to get done. I was not happy.

Well, I got home and turned on the White Sox game and lost myself in the baseball game and let the problems go away. I realized I couldn't dwell on them, just learn from them and go on.

Another day of work tonight. It's supposed to be super hot the next few day, like 103 and 105 with a higher heat index. Well, I'll stay indoors so it won't matter.

Anyway, have a good day.

Nothing much going on around here except the heat.  We spent the morning watering the plants, picking up around the yard, and a little weedeating.  this afternoon we cleaned the inside of he house.   Tomorrow we plan to get up early and mow before we can't stand the heat.  I'm feeling much better now.  I see the therapist on Monday and get by labs done at my PCP's office.  Then I need to go by the dentist's office to get a copy of my xrays to take for a second estimate on getting my dentures on Tuesday.  Ya'll stay out of the heat.
