Vitamin D deficiency and chronic pain
I found this very interesting. My Vitamin D levels are OK, but I wonder how much this has to do with my chronic pain issues.

How much do you take? I take 2,000 daily in the morning with my calcium. My bariatric center in Grand Rapids has changed our vitamin routine; we now take two calcium in the A.M., two at noon and two with evening meal, then the multivitamin at bedtime with the iron and vitamin C. I haven't noticed any difference in pain levels; my knee still hurts like hell, and my fatigue levels are worse now that I've been back at work (not that I'm complaining; I love being back at work, but it's hard on the system).
Eileen, This is an interesting article. Sure needs more study doesn't it? Here in the northwest I'm told that even on the "sunny" east side of the state that it is hard to get enough natural Vitamin D. . so I supplement. I'll have my labwork done soon and I'll be sure to check those levels.
This kind of reminds me of a friend. Years ago she had some health issues. Doctors were looking at MS because of her fatigue and pain levels. Come to find out that back to back nursing 2 babies for almost 4 years had depleted her system of many of the nutrients she needed. When she no longer was nursing her body slowly returned to health. Sometimes it really takes some trial and error to figure out what the problem is.
