another manic monday-what's new?
Good Monday morning...
My granddaughter (6yrs. old.) and I have been spending everyday together since her babysitter has gone on a "permanent" vacation. Its been fun..she is sitting watching re-runs of the Cosby show and laughing. I just love to hear her laugh...
Not much else going on..need to vacuum, do some laundry, run to the store...my summers can be boring, but so restful (sometimes)...
Everyone have a good day.

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Good to see you online, Margo ... wish I'd hear more from you.
Well, I don't mind Mondays ... it's the start of my weekend. I wanted to go to the pool but it keeps looking like rain, so I don't know. Plus, I have a bit of a headache, which means rain. So maybe I'll just hang around here and do some unpacking, laundry, go do some grocery shopping, etc. Got to go pay some bills, too.
Work is becoming a little easier, a little more familiar; I'm getting used to pagination again. Every day is a little better for me. But man, does my knee hurt at the end of the night ... and my shoulder and neck. Last night, as I was nearing home, I thought my knee was going to give out on me when I was driving.
Well, not much else going on. I'm going to have a low-key day. Maybe tomorrow I'll go exploring, maybe a movie. Have a good day.

Good Afternoon, All
Thank you Margo, for starting the thread.
The weather finally broke! It's rained a lot the past three days, and the ground is finally soft enough to work outside, and the humidity is finally to a tolerable level. No rain dance, but I think the swinging chickens did their part...
Each of the past three days I've spent between 4-5 hours a day, between raindrops (or deluges) working in the yard. I got all my deadheading done, weeded most of the beds, moved the pernnials that I wanted to move, and dug up a bunch that I gave away, Yesterday I spent the entire afternoon in the garage reclaiming it from the piles of gardening "stuff" that just gets tossed in there when I'm busy in the yard. The car fits nicely again. For a day or two.
Today I've been in the basement all morning, sorting out stuff that I know I'll never use ever again (till after I get rid of it, of course, then I'll need it...), and setting all the stuff in a corner of the garage for the garage sale in two weeks. I didn't think I had much, but I'm afraid the car isn't going to fit much longer. My niece has a huge amount of stuff from moving out of her house and into an apartment, and with mine, we should have a really big sale.
Car should be back in the driveway by tomorrow...
I still have the "junk closet" to sort. That's where most of my stuff is. I'm not looking forward to it.
And I thought I'd be bored when I retired.
I'm still waiting...
Candy

Hi Margo and the rest of the OFF gang.........
I'm just kind of hanging out this afternoon "resting" after my colonoscopy....which was uneventful and the Dr said everything looked great (a few diverticula pouches but nothing even hinting at tumors, cancer, or growths). Happy about that. But, (why is there always a big but) he said it does not explain the extreme anemia so I have to go for a CAT scan. I told Mathew I think he gave me an ulcer and that's causing bleeding which is causing the anemia.....gotta blame him regardless.
Dad is no better.
Things are starting to really hit my mom know.
I'll be flying up again this time next week and will stay with her for a few days.
One of my sisters is seems to be on the verge of hysteria.....I'm worried about her.
On the flip side of things, with the colonoscopy prep I lost 4 lbs!!!! LOL
Hope everyone is having a marvelous Monday.

PS- thanks to everyone yesterday for their kind words and well wishes...
