is this normal???
just wondering.....i had RNY 6/21/10....i've lost 22 pounds since then...total weight loss including the 2 week liquid diet is 34 pounds. other posts show a much greater weight loss in that time period! am i doing something wrong?
even though i'm 4 weeks out my energy level is still really low!. blood test from a week after surgery shows i'm not anemic. i'm getting all my water and protein in every day but have no energy. take my vitamins religiously......any ideas??? wondering if it's my age....i'm 51.
at this point....my pouch holds an egg or about 1 oz (maybe a little less) of meat.
i usually eat a scrambled egg for breakfast
protein shake for lunch
protein for dinner (1oz or less...til i'm satisfied)
most days i work in about 6 oz fat free yogurt
any ideas??? or suggestions???

You are totally normal. Are you getting in much exercise???? I walk 2 miles every morning and swim most evenings. If you are still tired then exercising may not be the best yet. I bet it is the exercising. When your energy comes back it will be easier to exercise and the weight comes off faster with exercise.
#1 rule should be-----
do NOT compare yourself to other posts- everyone's body is different!!!!!!!
sounds like your body simply needs time to adjust-after all--what did you just do to it???i'm sure it's asking!!!!!!!major surgery comes to my mind!!!!!
are you getting any exercise in???? even short walks can do wonders!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

i made myself get on the treadmill this morning for the first time. walked (or strolled) at 1 1/2 mph for 10 minutes. when i stopped the treadmill i had to sit on it for a few minutes before going upstairs. then got ready for work and realized i forgot a book....went back downstairs to get it....i had to sit down for a few minutes before driving to work!
driving me crazy! at over 200 pounds i did the 3 day 60 mile breast cancer walk....walking is what i do!! or used to do!
patience is certainly not my virtue!!!
one good thing....don't have to rest after making the bed any more.....i guess baby steps are better than no steps at all!

I'm 2 months out and have found that (crazy as it sounds) exercise is helping my energy level. I kept resisting exercise because I was so exhausted but finally made myself start going to the gym last week. Every.single.day I go I have to MAKE myself go and yet after it's over I feel SO good and full of energy. WHY I have to make myself go I don't know because I really do feel so much better.
