OT denture costs

I got the estimate for my dentures and about fell over! This guy wants $8,000!!! That's for extracting the teeth and a full set. That seems excessive to me. I called another place this morning and made an appt. to see what price they quote me. Is it really that expensive or is he just a rip off?

I am having my top denture (20 yrs old) replaced to the tune of $885!

$8,000 seems excessive for extrations and new dentures.

That's what I thought. I'm going to go pick up the xrays from the other dentist and tell them I'm going to get a few more estimates before I commit to anything.
