Tuesday, What's New? *****cat....

It's a little after midnight in California. I think that more people respond to the thread when it starts during the night. I'm going to a school staff pot luck lunch tomorrow. I made a delicious potato salad to take. It's a salad luncheon, so I'll be able to find something good to eat.
My husband and I have been cleaning out the garage. It is almost ready for CARS! Can you believe it? What a concept!
I contacted the insurance company today to ask about my reimbursement for towing in my car accident. It's been almost two months since I sent the receipts in. They had dropped the ball... we've been on a tight budget since the accident- a car payment, more insurance, the down payment, and miscellaneous out of pocket expenses related to the wreck. I'm feeling broke.
School is going to start on August 9th. My vacation is almost over already. SIGH!

Good morning.  Things are going good for me.  Just came back from a church reunion.  The only bad part was when one of the people we have not seen in 35 years asked how Mary's mother was.  Mary still has a hard time accepting her death.  And it was five years ago.  It was good to see everyone. 

Working hard these days.  Plus trying to keep up with my TV shows and my Rangers.  Last night was tough.  I had two separate earbuds in my ears.  Listening to the Rangers game plus watching Lie to Me. 

Busy weekend coming up.  Going to the games on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  I am so anxious for it.

My grandson is in Math and Science Camp.  He is 12 years old and was chosen for the program with UT at Arlington.  Last night he calls my son to say hi.  Son ask what they've done.  Eddie says all the meals are all you can eat buffet.  So my son asks again what he has done.  Not much.  One more time.  Oh, today we started building a robot.  I don't understand how an all you can eat buffet is more important than building a robot.  Especially since Eddie hardly eats.

I'm here ready or not! 

The whole car insurance world is a mess. The repair shop was supposed to have my car part a week ago and it didn't come in. Promised me it would only take another 2-3 days, but that was a week ago. Then, when I told Malibu Barbie's ins co that I needed to see the doctor again, their response was something to the effect that since this was a "minor" accident, they pay medical based on the severity of the wreck. What the heck? They've accepted 100% liability and I can hardly move by the end of my work week. Well, we'll see. Hope you're issues are settled soon!

George, nice to see your smiling face today!  I can't imagine listening to TWO different games at one time. You amaze me.

Last night I woke up nauseated and actually spent some time with the Porcelain God. I haven't vomited since way before WLS, and this was not plesant. Of course, it had been hours since dinner, so there wasn't anything in there, but 10 minutes of dry heaves knocked me for a loop. I have no earthly idea where this came from, but I'm right as rain this morning. Wierd.....

My  "Girlfriends Box of Questions' arrives on Thursday. I'm really hoping to get some folks more active by doing something fun and different.

Good morning Julia & all. Well you wanted boring so here it is. Nothing going on here. I have been picking raspberries, a few cups a day. I hope to have 8 or 10 quarts by the time I am done. Thats my DH favorite jam. We have acres of wild ones. Finall a good year for them.

I also picked about 8 quarts of green beens last night. Guess I will be canning today. Have a great day everyone!!!

NOT boring! Anything you have to say is interesting to me!

Boring day here today.  Cleaning house again for my sister arriving today finally.  She forgot her daughters driving test was Monday so she i****ting the road right after that.  Have my first appt. with the therapist at 4p,m. today.  A little anxious about that.  I'm just going to stay in today out of the heat.  I only mowed for 2 hrs yesterday and was exhausted from the heat.  Everyone have a good day.

I'm taking a tiny break at work -- yesterday was my first day of extended hours -- I was so busy the time just flew by.  Had my 3rd dentist appt. in the p.m. for my new top denture.  Went to TOPS in the evening -- no a/c in the building where we meet and it's upstairs -- it was awful in there.  Hey - any of you who go to TOPS what kind of "fat fines" does your group charge????  We charge 10 cents per lb/or fraction of a pound -- we are thinking we need to up that -- too many ppl gaining wt.

Hope we get some rain here soon -- we really need it....I'm tried of watering all the plants everyday.

We don't have fat fines Pat- they did way back when... we just accept that when you are ready to lose weight you will do what it takes.
