Good Morning Sybul, Everyone

In a short while I will be on the road to my uncle's memorial services taking place tomorrow in Mooresville, North Carolina, but I wanted to stop by and say hey to you all, it's a beautiful morning and a great day for a drive like I have ahead of me. . .

The posts here have been kind of thin lately, guess we are all busy living our lives, which is the way things go, but I hope everything is going ok with the folks who I have not seen here lately, George?  Annette?  to name two. . ..

Well I have pretty much tamed the carb monster by cutting out most breads and slider foods and have been eating only protein, fruit and vegetable carbs and by viture of that change, I am now down to 169 again, woo hoo. . .  now if I can only make the time to get back into the gym, but I have been walking daily, so that counts for something. . .

Ok gotta go, Roxie needs her walk and then I need to get on the highway. . .  be back late Saturday.

Wishing everyone the best possible day, peace and strength to get through the rest of lifes challenges. . . .

Hugs, Laureen

Hi Sybul,

So glad to hear you're doing better. Sounds like you might be ready to head back to work with a new positive attitude.

Eileen....this just stinks, but Laureen and Karen are right, lots can happen in two years. Try to stay focused on the good things.

Today I have a follow up appt with my doc for the back pain I'm having from the accident two weeks ago. I think the driver's ins co thinks I'm faking it, but I'm not. They said they'd pay the medical based on the severity of the accident, which they call "minor". Well, it might be minor as far as the damage to my car, but I was going 35 mph and she was going fast enough to dent my car and toss me around in my seat.
Whatever......

Then, I have to rush home the appraisor is coming to apraise the house for our re-fi, then later this afternoon the termite guy comes. Such a busy day off...Somewhere between the doctor and the appraisor I have to straighten up around here. Gary's office is hopeless, mine isn't much better, but at least I can straighten it up a bit.

Ok....off to shower and get outta here!!!

good morning Sybul..and everyone...

Not much going on today..maybe I can actually relax and rest up a bit.  Last week was run run run..
Saturday will be the memorial for my sister in law.  Its been hard this week remembering and realizing that she is gone.  Just yesterday I picked up the phone to call her and check on her...when my grand daughter said , "nanny, you can't call Aunt Vicki".  I stopped dead in my tracks , gave her a hug and we went to lunch.
So Sat. will be hard, but we will get through this.  My SIL would not want us sitting around being sad and mopey.
Today is our pool class..Tuesday they finally allowed me to go again (had to have the cardiology release), I was in heaven.  Its so much fun and so beneficial, not just physical but psychological too...we laughed and had a good time.  I hurt when I got home, but I was still smiling,.

Well time for me to hit the shower and decide what I should be doing today..I may drive up and see my mom.  Check on her and her stitches..
Have a great day everyone...keep smiling.

Hello to all

I sit and read but don't have much to say.

This morning I went for a bone scan and boobage crushing. It really wasn't so bad. When they were 46 D's it hurt. Not much left to hurt.

Two nurses came in and asked for details about RNY. They had both heard the usual horror stories and were concerned about sagging skin. We talked for a long time and I invited each to attend an informational seminar and the support groups. I told them that it took me 3 years to make the decision and have been very pleased. It is hard not to URGE people to start the process. But, it should never be a snap decision.

Did some shopping for Miss Melanie's 5th birthday on Saturday. Hard to shop for a child who has everything. It doesn't matter, she likes presents.

Came home, started pouring a cup of coffee and the handle broke off the pot. What a mess all over me and the kitchen. Another model had been recalled recently for a similar problem. Customer service said to take it back to the store for a replacement, no questions asked.

Hello Sybul and everyone.....

I know it is late in the day but I finally had a quiet moment and decided to check in with everyone.

My granddaughters are keeping me busy to say the least. I am loving every moment of it but I am also exhausted at the same time!!

Went to the pool today and then over to the Water Park. They have all these things that shoo****er all over....Gracie loved running through it!!

I try to work in the mornings....not always easy!!

Have a great evening...prayers to all....especially Eileen as she may be losing her new job.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d
