Got my iced coffee.  It's supposed to be 85 degrees today -- that's really warm for the southern Oregon coast.

We have a therapy appointment today.  When we were there a couple of weeks ago, it looked like my mom was getting ready to pass.  A lot has changed in two weeks.  Mom has fight left in her and has rallied.  She remains confused a lot of the time.  She keeps asking us to take her out of the nursing home.  When we visited her on Monday, the Hospice social worker came in.
We got to talk to her about mom's pain.  She is going to talk to their RN about what can be done.

Ron and I will be visiting our son and his family later this month.  We're going for our granddaughter's second birthday.  We invited Ron's mom to join us but she declined after thinking about it.  It is a grueling schedule between travel time and the visit.  Ron and I will have a good time.  It will be the first time in a long time that we have gone anywhere on our own.  Usually, we have a mom in tow.

What's new with you?

I'm back to work today after four days off.....so glad to get out of the house and back among people!

Another hot/humid day here with temps in the low 90's and high humidity -- not looking forward to that.  Now they're saying it's going to last a couple more days.  I just can't tolerate the heat, so I stay inside as much as possible.

Worked on the girl baby bib some yesterday and did a bit of reading.
Also baked a banana/blueberry bread, which I am taking into work today....just can't have that kind of temptation in the house.  I should have just thrown the overripe bananas in the trash, but I wasn't brought up that way.

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday.  If you're in the extreme heat areas, please take care to drink plenty of water, and if you have an elderly friend or neighbor who doesn't have a/c - be sure to check on them or invite them into your a/c'd home.

Ummmmm, iced coffee!  It's my new afternoon treat. I mix my vanilla protein powder and instant coffee with some SF creamer in an insulated glass filled with ice. Then, in the afternoon when I'm starting to slump I just fill the glass the rest of the way and TaDa.....nice!

Nothing really new here, it's still stinking hot! Rain is expected all week, not that it will do anything but make it muggier. At least the lawns and plants will enjoy it.

Everyone have a great day!

Yeah, I got hooked on iced coffee too ... but I do it black, no cream because I drink my coffee black anyway. It's hard to get the McDonald's folks to understand the concept of blac****d coffee ... I have to be redundant ... "I want an iced coffee ... black, no cream" and then I still get an iced coffee with cream ... all those extra calories! So I made myself a pot of good Starbucks coffee at home, extra strong, put some ice in it, stuck it in the fridge, added some SF flavoring ... voila! Iced coffee, black, no cream! Just as I like it. The pitcher that's in the fridge has SF caramel. Really yummy. I fill up my souvenir Graceland cup with ice and take it to work ... keeps me going when I get to work. Everyone's drinking sweet tea or Coke, I have my iced coffee.

Good morning Cindy and everyone.......

Oh what a morning so far....my work phone is ringing like crazy.....guess that is what I get paid for so I better not complain!!!!!!

I have pretty much been staying in the A/C this week....I can't handle the humidity....love the heat though!! Darn asthma and COPD doesn't like the high humidity and causes me problems if I am out in it too much.

My new contact lenses have come in so I need to head over to pick them up sometime today.

I will be checking in again later to see how it is going with everyone. Have a wonderful day!!!

Many prayers for those in need!

Love and hugs for all......connie d

Good morning all...
It's crazy here at work with Joint Commission here at the hospital.

Had granddaughter over last night after work. She spent the night and I dropped her off her new house this morning. We went to the lake yesterday and swam for awhile before it rained. We had fun together and I had my Rozzie time!

Hugs to all...gotta run!
