Good Tuesday Morning to You. . What's happening?
Hi Karen and all my OFF friends,
Well I've been working at a frenzy trying to get ready for my two grandsons coming on Sunday and spending the week. DIL told me that anything washed in something other than All Free and Clear is like poison to the boys skin. So I got some and I'm washing sheets, blankets and towels and anything else I can think of that they'll come in contact with.
The heat makes it miserable. It's over 100 today.
Work is slow, a lot of people took this week as vacation (including my boss) so things will just have to wait until they get back.
Baby Briley and Mom sound like they are doing well.
I got something on my favorite jeans, I think it was a couple drops of liquid dishwasher detergent and it totally bleached the color out. So I got another pair and two pairs of capris at lunch at Marshall's today for $41 - woohoo. The long jeans had an original price of $69 and I got them for $14.99.
We're thinking of going to the summer concert tonite on the town green, but it is so hot! We may just stay home in the air conditioning.
OK, I have a rant. Friday my gastroenterologist's office calls me and leaves a message on my home phone (they had my work phone) - "Mrs. Martin, please give the office a call about your appointment on Tues. morning." So of course I don't get the message until after 6:00 p.m. on Friday and since their office was closed for the holiday, I called at 7:00 a.m. this morning, talked to their service and cancelled my appt. for 8:15 a.m. What were they thinking? I called the office at 9:05 a.m. and the service was still picking up. I call the office at 10:05 and get the receptionist and no one has a clue what the woman wanted. I told the receptionist I was not going to miss work for an 8:15 a.m. appt. and get there to find out the woman who left the message wanted to reschedule. The receptionist understood and booked a new appt. for me. But still . . . . arghhhh!
Well I better get back to work and find something to do. Keep hydrated everyone.
Bev
