Good Tuesday Morning to You. . What's happening?

I"m back. It's quiet and no one is needing anything right now except Briley and Momma is taking care of that. Nursing is going quite well this time around. Briley is already a pro at one week and would be content to use her mommy as a pacifier if Erin would let her.
Our weekend was pretty quiet until yesterday. We had several batches of company stop by to see the baby on their way too and from other places.
A friend had brought white cheese chicken enchiladas by a couple of days ago. We cooked those with a salad last night when our son Nathan and his girlfriend Kristin stopped by. That was such a nice thing to have on hand. I'm about cooked out and I like cooking.
I'll try to get the house cleaned and laundry caught up before taking off for home on Thursday. I'm ready for some quiet time!
Sounds like Briley is through nursing. I'll check back in later. Hope you all have a nice day.

Karen....that sweet little Briley sounds like a really good baby. Can't wait to see some pics!!
As for me....I will have a busy work day today...after having all those days off. I have a meeting to get ready for later this morning. It is out of town so I will have to leave early.
Next Monday I am meeting Jamie half way from her house to mine. I will be picking up Gracie to have with me for a week....I am sooooo excited!! I am picking up my other granddaughter Amanda so she can help entertain Grace while I work.
Have a great day everyone!!
Prayers for so many in need.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Had a great time at the Rangers game July 4th, even though they lost. They had an induction ceremony for 150 guys and gals into the Air Force. Four F-16 did a fly over after the National Anthem. And the Honor Guard had the flag that flew over the World Trade Center. Goosebumps. Wiped my eyes several times.
This morning I downloaded 16 books/short stories to my Nook. Spent less than $40 for all of it.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Got a lot of unpacking done yesterday ... I can almost get into the spare bedroom now. The problem is trying to find places for many of the things. Some of the stuff was in/on my computer desk, which I no longer have. I may have to find a small desk just to put things in. And I really have to get into that file cabinet and clean/pitch/shred eventually. But I did unpack several boxes of books/CDs, plus some clothes from the two big wardrobe boxes in the closet. Whew! One of the funnier episodes was a book smacked me in the lip ... boy, that sure hurt. I have so much bumps/bruises/cuts/blood spots all over my body from this move. Most of the blood spots on my arm are leaving now, but the bruises on my legs keep multiplying, because I keep bumping into things. I also found my dictionary, thesaurus, AP stylebook and my Bad Cat calendar to take into work. Now my desk will seem more like home.
So I have today off again and there will be more unpacking/pitching ... hopefully, I'll get through more of the spare bedroom. Eventually, I want to get some of those plastic drawer thingies to store my linens ... no real place for it in my closet. Lots of closet space, just not a lot of storage options. So maybe after I get paid this week. First, I have to pay something back to my editor, who loaned me money for my rent.
Karen, my friend Roxane had problems with her daughter, Erin, with reflux. Rox is a nurse, and Erin kept vomiting after eating and wasn't gaining at all. Rox was nursing Erin but Erin was actually losing weight soon after birth ... when she took her to the doctor for an early checkup, they were looking into neglect charges. They thought she wasn't feeding her. The doctor finally figured out that maybe she had reflux, and Rox started giving her a small dose of Prilosec before nursing, and that seemed to do the trick. It's good that at least they figured that out before your daughter, Erin, took Briley home. I know Rox was very upset at the thought people believed she wasn't feeding her daughter and was neglecting her. Roxane's daughter Erin (I know this is confusing because of the two Erins) is now 7 years old and extremely talkative ... she is my goddaughter and you can't shut her up. So she survived her reflux issues and so will Briley. Now she also has asthma and gets pneumonia frequently.
Well, not much else going on. More unpacking/pitching and later, baseball games. The White Sox are playing well at last ... great catch last night, plus four homers. Love it!
Anyway, thanks to WLS, I've finally got the promotion I wanted! but now I REALLY have to work!! LOL
i'll post when I get the chance.
