Presumed Innocent sounds so familiar to me ... it's not the one about the lawyer driving through a bad part of the city?  If that's the one I'm thinking of, yes, it was a terrific book!

I don't think so.  Presumed Innocent is about a middle-aged, married lawyer who has an affair with a woman who is found murdered.  He is subsequently tried for her murder.

I've been stuck in the Middle Ages in England throughout June ... the latest book was "The Sunne in Splendor" ... about Richard III of England, also about Edward, his wife Elizabeth and the princes in the tower, speculating what happened to them. I'm almost done with this one It's by Sharon Kay Penman, the seventh book I've read by her. Haven't much this week because I've been working and have been reading all night at work (work stuff). And this is a 700-plus page book. But very good. Don't know what I'm going to read when I'm done with her ...I know I have some other books around, but they're all in boxes ... guess I'll have to do some unpacking.

I remember that you've been reading a lot of history from the Middle Ages and I think that's really cool.  I haven't found a time period that I'm that fascinated with.

I'm reading "Looking Forward" - its a book about retirement and planning for retirement.  It's pretty good. I read a little each day, and decide what applies to me.

I am going to start a novel this week, but don't know which one to start.  If I had a copy of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I'd read that.  Maybe I'll check at 1/2 price books.

I am reading Charlaine Harris, Harper Connelly series right now.  She is the author of the Sookie Stackhouse "True Blood" books.    There are 4 books in the Harper connelly group and I just started book 4.  I have read all 10 of the Sookie Stackhouse books and enjoyed them all, but I like the Harper Connelly stories so much more.  They're deeper.  More intense.

I have downloaded about 20 books onto my Kindle to read this summer.
