Ugh.. I hate Monday's. What does yours look like?
Hi Mary and all my OFF friends,
Mondays are busy for me. The CEO has a staff meeting at 1:00 p.m. so my morning is spent preparing weekly reports for it. But I am always grateful that I have a job to come to on Monday mornings.
I just got back from shoe shopping on my lunch hour. They had a buy one, get the second one for a $1 sale. Got two pairs of dressy wedge sandals. They are also ordering from another store a pair of Teva's. I can pick them up tomorrow and I found out there is a $5 off coupon I can use for those.
I spent yesterday in the ER with my sister. Her hysterectomy incision was leaking a massive amount of fluid. She soaked a bath towel on the way there. While we were there they changed the dressing three times. Tomorrow she will see her surgeon who did the operation. There is no sign of infection so the ER wasn't too concerned. They explained that when they cut into the lymphatic system internally sometimes it doesn't knit back together well. It will just take more healing for it to stop. Of course with trying to get a hold of her surgeon, we were at the ER for six hours before she was released to go home. She is bummed because she thought she would be going back to work today. She has no short term disability so she wanted to earn a pay check this week. Even though we have all offered financial support, she is very independent.
I got my new car and it's beautiful. It will take me a month to learn all it's features.
Tomorrow is the first "concert on the green" in our town. Hubby and I love going to these free concerts. They have a different genre of music each Tuesday night. We see friends and it's a real community event. The boy scouts run a refreshments booth with hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., so we get to support them as well.
Karen, it's so exciting greeting a new member of the family. Eileen, good luck tomorrow. Sybul, I hope the stress eases soon and you are feeling much better. Grammylew, yum, I love to cook for others, but alas, it's just hubby and me.
Have a great day everyone.
Bev
