Rowing, sailing, and just paddling along. What's on your plate?

It's nice to see we've picked up a few crewmates. We are in this together, and besides, it's always more fun when there a gaggle of friends helping each other.

Work was busy yesterday and so I had to grab snacks and lunch as I could. There's never a routine for me on a work day, but I do really try to at least schedule myself a 30=-45 minute break. Most of the time it works, sometimes it doesn't. Can't help someone not showing up on time and my schedule getting out of whack. All I can do is what I can do!

bkfst burrito
applesauce/cottage cheese
smart ones chicken quesidilla
smoked chicken salad w/ corn & pepper salad, 1/3 quesidilla ( went to Rib Crib for dinner)
applesauce w/ LF granola

I don't think I got in enough fluids yesterday. Must try to do better today!

Okay, I'm going to try this today and I'll be editing as the day goes on.. and truthfully...

7:00 a.m. This morning.. Starbucks w/splenda and probably 2 oz of half and half.. but nothing else tastes good!!

9:10 a.m. Now home, 2 eggs w/cheese and onion in an omelette and probably an oz or two of smoked salmon.

11:47 Just back from $4.  Tall iced coffee.. and yes.. the half and half.

Hi Hon.....

Suggestion:  2 oz 1/2 & 1/2 is about 80 cals and 4 grams of fat. If you were to switch to a skinny latte, you'd be getting 0 grams of fat, 90 cals, BUT 12 grams of protein! It's the reason I drink so many of the damn things.

Good Morning

I'm doing better with fluids, and I'm getting in most of my MOV's and calcium, but gotta work on those.  Better than a few months ago.  I ran out of vitamins and never missed them.  Probably why my iron stores were down.

Yesterday was  a little difficult eating-wise.  I went to yard sales with a friend and, after having breakfast at 7:30, didn't get to have lunch till after 3.  She didn't want to stop.  I kept reminding her that I wanted to eat, but she just kept saying "one more sale and we'll stop".  I ate the Fiber One bar in my purse about 11, and a cookie about 1pm, but by the time I got home, I wolfed down my food so fast that I had to stop and slow down and chew or would have lost it all.  I have to be more aggressive when I say I HAVE to eat....NOW!!

B:  cottage cheese and watermelon
coffee
S:  FiberOne bar
S:  the dreaded cookie!
coffee
L:  tilapia and swiss chard sprinkled with a few chopped walnuts
     fruited orange gelatin dessert ff/sf
orangeade
D:  More tilapia and chard (I made a lot...)
S:  SkinnyCow chocolate truffle bar (100 cal)
orangeade
S:   the other damned cookie!!!

Since the two cookies were my only cheats in four days, I forgive myself.  And the cookies are now gone, since I only bought two of them.

I'm working, not very successfully, on replacing some of my fluids with plain old water.  Sigh....

Catch you tomorrow.

Sometimes when I go to Starbucks I'll buy one of their "treat size" peanut butter cookies. I don't know why they call them treat size, they're actually a decent sized, but I guess since we're so programmed to supersize everything, a realistically sized cookie could be construed as a treat.
One cookie is $.95. Pretty steep for one cookie, but it keeps me from buying more than one. I enjoy the one and move on.

My one 'go to" treat is sugar free Wherthers caramels. I think 5 of them are 35 calories, so I have no guilt what so ever when I have even 10 of them over the course of a day. It keeps me from wanting other things
