I know, I know.  Who's this strange guy starting the thread today?

Been MIA for a while.  Stopped by this morning before going home from work.  Not gonna promise I will respond to everyone, but will try to stop by later today.

Have company coming in to visit this morning.  Friends from Houston coming up to go to the game with us this afternoon.  Then we are going home and gonna BBQ.  They will stay with us overnight, leave some time tomorrow afternoon.

Hope everyone has a good day and a great weekend.

Sorry I have not been around much, but I am trying to get my money's worth from my Nook. If anyone was thinking of getting one, Nook and Kindle both dropped their prices.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning, George. How nice to see you today!  Gary has a Nook and loves it. I'm thinking a second one might be needed since it never leaves his hands..lol

Yesterday Tess and I worked a photo shoot for Arkansas Life Magazine. She did makeup, I did hair. This gal was gorgeous....22 years old, 5'11  and about 125. The theme of the feature was Back to School from the teachers perspective. Most of the clothes were from Dillards and very high end boutiques. I personally don't know any teachers who could afford, or want to wear to the classroom, $700 blouses or $350 belts, but they looked great on the model. At any rate, it's always fun working with our Tess.

Today is a very long one, won't get off until about 6:00 tonight, so I'm thinking it will be dinner out for us. Or...good old leftovers. We'll see

Hope everyone is going to have a great weekend. Another hot, humid and miserable one here.

Take care!

Susan

Good morning George and Susan -- good to see you on here George....we've all missed you!

I was going to get up early and go shopping at Wal Mart, but couldn't get my butt out of bed, now it's raining with forecast of storms...hopefully they will blow over soon.....I detest shopping when the store is busy.

It's been a crazy week, two doctor appts, work schedule all mixed up.  Weekend no plans really, except church tomorrow morning.   It's to be hot and humid, then next week sounds lovely with temps in the 70's and sunny.....I can hardly wait.

Have a great Saturday and a safe and happy weekend.

I've missed you gals too.  I try to at least look at the What's New thread every day or every other day.  I really should post a hi at least.  Just that my life is so boring.  Worked both jobs and slept is the post for four days a week.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning George and everyone else.  This will be the first weekend in forever that we are actually not camping and not going somewhere.  I need to take advantage of it, because from here on out through August the calendar is full.  There are a couple of weekends in August that we'll be home, but will be watching the grandkids so it won't be business as usual.  I'm going to go through the closets again and box up more clothes.  We'll be going to Des Moines in a couple of weeks so I'll take some things to Goodwill.

This afternoon I think we'll go to Walmart.  It's 28 miles from here so we don't go often.  Well, we used to go every single weekend but as we all know, you can't go to the $100 store without spending at least that much, so I quit going.  Now it's only once every other month and I sure save a lot of money on things I don't need. LOL  I really don't even like Walmart but in this rural area, it's our only choice.  Dollar General or Walmart. UGH.  I would have to drive 90 miles to get to a Target or other department stores/mall.  The last couple of times we went to Des Moines I didn't even go shopping except to Goodwill.

Have a nice weekend.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Good morning George and everyone......

George it was a nice surprise to see you starting the thread today. You have been missed!!

This weekend there is an air show in St Cloud. The jets have been flying over for days!! Last night I was out with friends. I was talking to some of the military guys. Anyway...myself and a few other people were taken out to to the airport  to see the "Blue Angels" jets. WOW!!!!
I only live about 5 miles from the airport.....those jets are LOUD!!!!

It will be a noisy but fun weekend. Our summer festival in town starts today too.  Lots to keep me busy!!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Prayers to so many in need.

Love and hugs to all......connie d

The Blue Angels are awesome!  The best I have ever seen though was Tricolore, the crew from Italy.  They don't have all the safety regulations we have in the U.S.  So they do what they want.
