Rowing, sailing, and just paddling along. What's on your plate?
Morning one and all. I' getting an early start today since I have to leave very early.
Yesterday:
cottage cheese w/ applesauce and LF granola
cheese quesidilla on ww tortilla
1/2 pb&j
french dip soup
watermelon
the usual skinny vanilla lattes, protein coffee and lots of water.
Gotta run....hope you all have a grand day!

Morning Susan...
I'm still working on that plan of action with this new feeding schedule..so today I'll stick to what I know..
protein shake
graham cracker with pbutter
quiche with green beans or lunch out
yogurt with cheerios
dinner *haven't decided yet*

And I'm always asleep when I should be eating for the 8th time...but, I am sticking to the eat every 2 hours rule...and so far no more shakes, no more passing out, no more dizziness...so this must be working!!

Hi Marcy,
So glad to see you're doing better already! Keep up the good work, I'm sure it will pay off. I have to eat about every 3 hours if I'm going to get in all my calories. Sometimes, when it's really busy at work, I feel like all I do is play catch up until I go to bed. But, it's what I have to do, so I do it.

Day Two of re-dedication to goal----
Yesterday was another good day.
2 coffee
B: cottage cheese and fresh peach
S: orange protein shake
L: grilled turkey and swiss on a whole grain sandwich round
S: watermelon and cottage cheese
S: 1 slice turkey and 1/3 cup brown rice (too early for dinner, and hungry!)
D: chicken breast/swiss chard/brown rice mess simmered in V-8 juice with
a little romano cheese sprinkled on top. ( Surprisingly tasty, from
stuff I had in the fridge)
cuppa decaf
glass of s/f orangeade
S: Skinny Cow chocolate truffle bar (To die for, trust me!)
I think some of the weight gain that scared me to death a few days ago was some water retention, which I seldom have. I know I peed like every
hour all day Wednesday (TMI, I know...). Scale is down a few lbs, but I'm giving this "behaving" thing at least a whole week (fingers crossed) to see what I can actually accomplish.
I took tilapia out of the freezer, will cook up a mess of it and use it for the next few days. I have to have something cooked and handy or I graze while I cook. Not good, but at least I recognize the pattern.

I eat cantaloupe or applesauce with cottage cheese, but never tried watermelon. Must try! When I buy one(only buy 1/2 at a time 'cause I'm tired of buying bad ones) I cut it up into chunks and keep it in the fridge so it's there and ready whenever I want some. It's almost one of those free foods that chews down to nothing but liquid. But what would summer be without it?
My favorite way to cook talapia is to brown it on one side, then turn it over, pour about 1/2 cup salsa over the top and let is simmer for about 7-8 minutes. Talk about tasty!

My WLS surgeon has only ONE hard and fast rule.... Eat NOTHING without at least some protein. I wanted watermelon. So I threw in some cottage cheese. Surprisingly tasty.
I buy the watermelon cuts, 'cause I can see what they look like, and I don't end up with watermelon for 2 weeks from one purchase. I'd rather have it nice and fresh once it's cut up.
I made a new tilapia recipe tonight, with fresh swiss chard from my garden. Yummy.
Today was another good day. This time of day is usually my problem, but I ate dinner at 7:30, and I'm still full. Thankfully.

Good morning Susan....I am feeling better this morning...I slept 12 hours last night..8:00PM to 8:00AM.

Hi Susan!
I've been so busy and intentionally spending less time on-line so I could have better balance in my life...I think I've found a good mix now.
Food has been pretty much the same old-same old for me this past week.
Today:
B- mix of high fiber cold cereals with raisins, cranberries, honey, walnuts and milk.
S- 1/2 lg apple
L- 2.5 oz burger on Whole Wheat, salad, "healthy" coleslaw, pickles
S- 1/2 apple, PB on lite wasa, coffee
D- either a bowl of yogurt with blueberries or maybe some egg white omelet....not sure yet.
Hope you are doing well.
